Benaco - Torbole, Gardasee — Restaurant in Comunità Alto Garda e Ledro

Enjoyed the seafood pasta with the harbor view. Well that was some years ago. I came here several times and it was quite good. Now today I had the same seafood pasta as I used to. Not as tasty, not as many noodles (like there's a noodle shortage in italy) not as much seafood, which makes me miss the days when you could eat left over seafood here when the noddles were gone and soak up the sauce with your bread. Not anymore. Cuttlefish was virtually missing. Hardly any mussels and sauce not so much. Miss the days of the salad bar..also not anymore...the house wine prices have gone through the roof compared to other places around lake garda. I saw terrible looking pizzas on my neighbours tables and dry looking pastas on others...what is there more to add. A place I liked but like Shakespeare said...seen no more. Great, just great. Food is amazing, service is very fast and friendly, location is beautiful. I highly recommend fried seafood mix (in the middle of the photo), you will not regret it. Overhaul all fish is fresh and cooked just right. We are staying a few days in this city and will definitely come back here at least one more time.

Edit - we went there for three evenings just because seafood was so great. I will say again, you gonna miss a lot of you don’t order fried calamari. Every time service was very fast, view is great, nobody is hurrying you. Great place, will definitely visit them again next year if I happen to be in Italy again

Edit 2025 (a year later) - we came back to eat exactly at this place and unfortunately fried sea mix is not so good anymore. I don’t know what changed, but now it’s just good, and not the best in the whole garda. I’m still leaving 5 stars for fast service and...

Did not stay in the hotel but dined at restaurant for lunch before flying home. You cannot just have coffee or drinks here it is strictly dining ONLY! Nice location overlooking the harbour! Large menu with plenty of choice, plus photos of every dish which is helpful. Higher priced than other local establishments, but quality not as good. Disappointed parmesan was not freshly grated & came in a sealed plastic packet. Tomatoes on bruscetta was very bland, no garlic or basil 😞 Cannot pay bill at table, have to go to inside counter.
