Caffè Bar La Piazzetta — Restaurant in Comunità montana Alta Valtellina

This is our favorite coffee shop in Bormio. The lady at the cashier and her son are extremely nice and pleasant and the service is kind and helpful. The price for coffee is very honest and they don’t charge extra if you drink it while seated which is what many coffee shops in Italy do. The food we had for lunch was very tasty and even though it was well past the lunchtime they reopened the kitchen for us. The selection of cakes and semifreddi at the counter is diverse and really tempting. It is definitely going to be the next thing to try...

We came her a few times, nice waiting staff and often spots available. Today however, we gotten bad looks from (one of the?) owner sitting next to us hosting some people for a coffee. Our baby of 7 months was playing, and that was apparently too annoying for him.

Bar centrale a Bormio, lungo la via principale. Molto carino esternamente, con possibilità di poter comodamente bere un buon caffè anche al di fuori. All'interno arredamento moderno, ma senza apparire eccessivamente freddo. Il giusto compromesso. Personale gentile, cordiale e disponibile. Sempre pronti eventualmente a dare dei consigli, ove ne abbiate bisogno. Scelta di dolci ben più che ampia. Dai classici croissant per la colazione alle torte vere e proprie. Dubito qualcuno posso avere da ridire su questo punto. Specifico che la mia fermata è avvenuta alle ore 16 del pomeriggio, dopo una camminata dura fatta la mattina (quindi con molta fame). Abbiamo preso due scrocchiarelle (Bormina e Margherita) che devo dire erano appetitose e veramente gustose. E per finire due dolci: tortino al mirtillo e strudel di mele. Nulla da dire. Lo consiglio? Si....
