Dal Moro — Restaurant in Fasano

On Friday, I dined at this establishment, which was exceptionally busy due to the national holiday. Having recently arrived in Italy, we had attempted to dine at various restaurants, which were all fully occupied. Fortunately, this establishment accommodated walk-ins. The waiter, a young man, appeared somewhat overwhelmed. Consequently, a wine menu was unavailable, and drink orders took an extended period. When we requested wine, we were offered a half-litre of a non-premium beverage. Had we been presented with a choice, we would have chosen a more suitable option. However, there was one waiter looking after 10 or so tables, and we did almost all arrive at the same time.

The dining experience was delayed, and the quality of the food was generally disappointing. Frozen seafood constituted the majority of the dishes, with the exception of the sea bass, which was of of a good quality. The other dishes, however, were subpar.

Absolute joke! The service is laughable which let’s the food down. We had to find our own table because nobody could welcome and attend us. All the staff were running around like headless chickens trying to get themselves organised and the Resturant was only 20% full at the time. It took them 45 mins to take our order. Starters came before our drinks. We had to shout for service 7 times during the whole evening and even then they kept forgetting our order!! So we had to keep reminding them. There was one miserable waitress who just shouldn’t work there at all! It was the worse experience I’ve had in Puglia and I’ve been here 5 times. The other thing that annoyed me was the level of hygiene. No paper towels to dry your hands after washing and only...

Se si ha la fortuna di poter cenare sugli scogli, come è successo a noi, è veramente incantevole. (suggerisco una prenotazione con anticipo). Consiglio di andare a cenare sul presto, in modo tale che tutte le attenzioni siano rivolte a voi e i tempi di attesa non risultino lunghi. Infatti, abbiamo avuto un buon servizio e una buona disponibilità nei nostri confronti. (Già per ordinare il dolce/caffè, quando il locale iniziava ad essere affollato, i tempi si sono allungati e presa dalla fretta la cameriera ci ha elencato solo alcuni dei dolci che in realtà erano disponibili (buoni comunque :D ) Buono anche il vino che ci è stato consigliato, secondo i nostri gusti, per accompagnare la nostra cena di pesce. Ottima qualità prezzo. Pesce fresco e ben pulito. Mi congratulo per avere a disposizione anche della pasta senza glutine! Per chi come me ha problemi di intolleranza risulta quasi sempre impossibile poter mangiare fuori casa un primo! (non è una cosa così scontata come si può pensare anche se oramai le intolleranze sono una cosa molto comune e diffusa).

L'unica pecca della serata, è stata il farci pagare il crudo di pesce , giusto 2 ostriche 1 gambero e 1 scampo, previo accordi, come un intero platò!!! (24 euro, quando il platò ,a seconda delle dimensioni, andava dai 18 ai 24 euro.) Purtroppo ce ne siamo accordi sulla via del ritorno, se no saremmo tornati a farlo presente, soprattutto perché ci eravamo trovati bene e ci dispiaceva ricordare la serata con questo inconveniente. Inoltre, ci avevano detto che il caffè sarebbe stato offerto "dalla casa", invece ce lo siamo ritrovati nel conto. Convenevoli a parte, bella e buona serata.
