Visiting Ferrara on a daily escape from Bologna, our eye caught "Slurp pizza", a cozy & elegant pizzeria, right at the heart of the old city. The (female) staff that served us is genuinely polite, descrete, helpful & speaks great English! We ordered 2 gourmet pizzas from the menu (italica & slurp). We could not believe Italian pizza can be SO tasty!! We also had a jar of unfiltered draft lager that was a perfect match to the food! Unfortunately, we were in a hurry to catch the train back to Bologna, otherwise we would have also tried their Pilsner beer as well. Affordable prices make it easy to try multiple orders & taste as many choices as u like. We look forward revisiting the Slurp pizzeria again. We took also starter (ham and salat) it was quite okay but not very good and definitly not worth the money. 14€ for grande parma ham. It was not grande... 9€ for a thin tiny salat,
Also the dessert (panna cotta) looked as it was some junk food out of a plastique box with not self made choclade sauce. The red house wine was drinkable to a pizza but far from being delicious.
Add 8€ for table service always. The waiter girls was friendly at least.
