Trattoria Vineria Acquolina — Restaurant in Finale Ligure

This place is a terrible tourist trap! Don't go there! We chose this place for its google rating although we knew very well that 35 ratings usually means nothing (obviously they are all written by friends or bought). The pictures of the food weren't convincing either but the reviews sounded nice...so we gave it a try, stupid as we are.... The main waitress was nice and friendly but the boys who work there don't understand anything about service and don't understand anything about how to wear a mask (or how to make a hygiene concept work). The biggest upset was the food though. We took two sea food dishes, both of them with no taste. One of those rare occasions where oneself cooks much better than the cook of a restaurant. With the bread they give as a starter they also distribute spices (pepper, salt etc). What's a really bad sign for a restaurant is when those spices come from a very cheap super market indicated by their wrapping. Further we took a pasta bambini for our little one (who generally loves the food in Italy and cannot get enough of the great pasta one usually finds in most places in Italy) and he didn't like it at all, as we didn't. The cook used tinned tomatoes and managed to create a completely tasteless tamato sauce in combination with very unimpressive pasta. There were many alarming points: The few (bought) ratings, the terrible service by some young boys, the low prices of the dishes and the fact that all the surrounding restaurants were fully packed and ours wasn't...still we managed to to stay there long enough to order 3 dishes. It was an extremely disappointing "last" evening in Liguria (where despite the vast amount of tourists, it's hard to find bad food). Here you can find bad food, which is quite an achievement actually...

ps. reading the answer of the restaurant: don't go there! it's a sh**ty place! try other restaurants in the area. they're all much better. trying to make fun of bad reviews shows the character of the owner...of course their food is edible after a day at the sea, but it's simply not good (especially according to Italien standards). every other restaurant is...

Piacevole scommessa...vinta

Una piacevole scoperta. Attirati dal menù adocchiato nel giro pomeridiano per fare scouting per la cena, prenotiamo.

Una volta arrivati, rimaniamo dubbiosi per l'assenza di avventori ai tavoli, sintomo tipico di costi elevati e di qualità non eccelsa. I primi dubbi scompaiono subito dopo il primo assaggio e dalla cortesia del personale.

La peculiarità é la cucina delle pietanze al momento dell'ordinazione e questo implica una attesa funzione della cottura del piatto (ad esempio i paccheri hanno cottura lunga e bisogna aspettare un po' di più), dunque in casi di maggiore affollamento si dovrà attendere un po' di più. L'attesa però é ottimamente ripagata: sapori equilibrati, con cotture semplici e ingredienti di prima qualità freschissimi (spigola, dentice ed ombrina erano freschissimi), impiattamento in linea con l'eleganza dei pietanze. Forse sull'ombrina ci sarebbe voluto un pelo di sale in più o un cucchiaino di pesto come salsa di accompagnamento per dargli un po' di sprint. Menzione d'onore per i dolci ( bonet e la sfogliata con ricotta dolce per i cannoli) veramente buonissimi ( dolci ma senza risultare stucchevoli), e anche i vini Vermentino locale veramente ottimo.

Le quantità dei piatti assolutamente corrette e il prezzo in linea con la qualità espressa.

Il servizio ottimo sia della titolare che della ragazza gentilissima.

Bellissima scoperta, ci torneremo sicuramente.

Astenersi avventori da...

Io ho mangiato settimana scorsa in questo locale. Cibo anche abbastanza buono (pasta alle vongole consigliata come qualità!) ma personale poco competente. Posate passate toccando la punta della forchetta, un ordine fatto con una richiesta non ascoltato tanto che arriva come l’originale, filetto di orata pieno di lische, un ragazzo non sapeva l’italiano (giusto il minimo indispensabile, ma proprio minimo minimo) ed era difficoltoso farsi capire (almeno fosse stato sorridente e simpatico nessun problema, mi sembrava proprio sotto pressione e in ansia), la cosa più strana però è quando ci cade la lisca del pesce per terra, chiamiamo il cameriere e ci scusiamo e lui la prende e anziché andare a buttarla la mette in un piatto pulito al tavolo… non abbiamo capito il perchè…

Insomma a me è sembrato un po’ campato per aria. Mi spiace per il cibo perchè non era male ma se devo spendere quelle cifre (che comunque sono alte e uguali a tutti gli altri ristoranti) non lo...
