An absolutely excellent seafood experience with a very high level of quality. The menu changes daily based on the fresh catch which makes everything feel unique and special. We were so tempted by one particular dish that we both ordered the same one and it was absolutely worth it. The fish was perfectly prepared with side dishes that complemented it beautifully. Portions are generous and the value for money is outstanding. Honestly I would even say the quality exceeds the price. Now I understand why reservations here are almost always required. We were lucky to grab a last-minute spot and it was absolutely worth it 😊

La nostra recente esperienza in questo ristorante è stata a dir poco deludente, non soltanto per la qualità dei piatti serviti, ma soprattutto per l’atteggiamento del personale, che ha mostrato un totale disinteresse nei confronti del cliente. L’antipasto, un hamburger di tonno, si è rivelato immangiabile: il tonno presentava un sapore inequivocabilmente alterato, con un retrogusto amarognolo che lasciava presagire una non perfetta freschezza della materia prima. La consistenza era viscida e sgradevole, rendendo il piatto del tutto inaccettabile dal punto di vista organolettico. Inoltre, la preparazione era satura di scalogno, che sovrastava qualsiasi altro sapore. Alla mia richiesta di omettere tale ingrediente, mi è stato risposto che il tutto era stato precedentemente tritato e dunque non modificabile, una giustificazione che denota un’evidente mancanza di attenzione verso le richieste della clientela. Dal momento che il piatto era impossibile da consumare, l’ho lasciato quasi interamente intatto. In un locale che si definisce attento al servizio, ci si aspetterebbe almeno che il personale si preoccupasse di comprendere il motivo di un simile rifiuto. Invece, non solo nessuno ha chiesto spiegazioni, ma siamo stati oggetto di sguardi giudicanti e di un atteggiamento sospettoso che ha reso l’ambiente estremamente sgradevole. Al momento del pagamento, il personale si è limitato a incassare l’importo senza neppure un semplice “grazie”, chiudendo così nel peggiore dei modi un’esperienza già compromessa.

One of a kind experience in Finale Ligure. The restaurant has a new handwritten menu every single day based on the catches of the day. The restaurant staff were beyond friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and so very kind. When we left a tip they were beyond grateful and even greeted us the next day when we walked past. Everything that we tried on the two nights we visited were fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Finale Ligure.

We were recommended il Sapore de Mare when we asked for best restaurant in Finale. We hadn’t booked a table, but they were able to accommodate us after about 30 min, which was great. But, after that unfortunately the visit wasn’t as we expected. We ordered wine, but they forgot about it and after a while we had to re-order and wait more. We ordered a lot of dishes, hoping for high quality food. Unfortunately most of the food was quite tasteless, not in any way bad, but just very plain. Very greedy management . Food was basic taste ,fish was a bit smelly. The main issue rain started we were about 50 % done . They moved us under umbrella which didn't helped at all . The management not even offered any discount or at least free desert for our spoiled dinner? Anyway much better places around stay away.
