TL;DR: Eat here.
My wife and I were here for the night before our 6am flight home, and wandered down to the quay and found this pizzeria.
We ordered the fish pizza, the spicy tomato, bacon and the sandwich pizza (don't know the real name, I don't speak Italian) we sat out on the porch and enjoyed the cool February evening, watching the boats bob up and down nearby.
The pizza was so good, we decided to get more of the sandwich pizza and spicy tomato. While I was waiting for round 2, I saw the posters on the wall on the left hand side of Roberto Cacchione from different competitions and asked (Irina, i think) if the big guy was Roberto, and she said he was (just a little bigger than he used to be.)
We ate a lot of pizza while we were in italy, in Venice, Florence, Rome, and Naples, but Robertos pizza blew them all away. I'm no master pizza taster, but it was pretty clear the pizza was made by people who knew what they were doing. Its a shame we only got to eat there...
Read moreMy dad and I stumbled across this the last day of our trip it Italy. We’ve been to Rome, Milan, Florence, Naples, and this is possibly…if not…the greatest pizza I have ever had in my entire trip…actually life.
I originally just started with 2 slices cause I wasn’t sure and didn’t read any reviews but I ended up ordering a total of 14 slices by the end, no cap.
We tried the herring and tomato, zucchini, and mushrooms. The herring and tomato is my favorite. It’s not fishy at all, it’s there to boost the other flavors. If you’re credible, you’ll know the less ingredients the harder it is to mask flavors so simplicity is best. Tomato, sauce, herbs, breading…
IT IS SO CRISPY AND GOOD.
I don’t have to speak Italian to understand “World Champion”.
Ladies and gentlemen, Pizzeria Marina, is 10000% credible.
This is a MUST visit.
Now I have to go back to America where NYC pizza doesn’t...
Read morePhenomenal! We were staying in town for one night after flying in from Canada for a cruise with our 13 year old daughter - her first trip to Italy. Truly authentic pizza experience. It’s a busy spot, look confusing as there is no menu and pricing. Let me tell you it’s worth it. They were cutting and serving pizza as fast as they were coming out. Prices were super fair. It was delicious- like amazing flavours. We may not have been that adventurous, which I regret, but the classic tomato sauce with cheese and the sausage were unbelievably flavourful! We ate there on the few cafe tables and people just came and went the whole time with takeout boxes and trays. What a great experience. They weigh the pizza and it’s priced based on variety- ie the meat pizza costs a little more. Drinks and the meal for 3 were 17.50 Euro! Thank you for the wonderful experience...
