We decided to go to this restaurant because it was close to the hotel. What a great decision!! We made reservations because we didn't know if it will be busy, and it was. It was on Friday night. The staff was professional and helpful, and answered our questions patiently.
We started with the cheese and meat board. Four excellent sliced sausages and two great cheeses, accompanied with honey and a tart berry jam. The waitress explained that they eat the cheese with honey, so we did too. It was a great combination. The honey fits perfectly with the hard cheese.
Next we had cacio e pepe with crispy pork cheek. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicate but flavorful, and the crispy pork gave it a twist that made the dish amazing. Since we told the waitress that we will share the dish, it was already divided for us in the kitchen, so we each got the right amount of pasta and crispy pork.
For the main course we had a burger and a pizza. The burger was mad expertly and you could taste the quality of the meat. It was served on a bun smeared with soft cheese, and with lettuce and radicchio. On the side we got potato wedges that were roasted with rosemary, and a dip made of some kind of cream cheese, mayonnaise, and pesto. Wow!! What a dip. Amazing pesto taste with a creamy texture of a light mayonnaise. The pizza we ordered was simple but amazing!! Salami and artichoke over an amazing pizza dough. Not many ingredients but they combined into something greater.
We also had dessert. We ordered a pistachio lava cake. Great dessert!! The cake was a classic sponge cake with pistachio flavor, but the cream that was oozing out of it had a pure pistachio cream taste. I definitely recommend it.
The total was 62€, including 3 glasses of wine, a bottle of sparkling water, and a coffee. In my opinion it was a good value for our money. A great restaurant, with great food, and friendly and helpful staff. Definitely a place to visit when...

If you’re in Florence and craving something casual, creative, and warm — La Bohème is your spot. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a charming bar and lively atmosphere. Further inside, a glowing pizza oven roaring in the corner, and the hum of conversation floating across the room. It’s cozy, modern, and full of life — the kind of place where locals go to relax and tourists feel at ease.
We ordered the Pici con gamberi — a dish that could easily hold its own in any fine-dining restaurant. The thick, hand-rolled pasta had just the right chew, and it was generously layered with sweet, barely poached shrimp, slow-roasted tomatoes, and a bright green herb sauce that added vibrancy without overpowering the dish. A dusting of toasted breadcrumbs gave it crunch and richness. Every bite was unexpected and delicious. You can tell this is a kitchen that has fun with flavor, creating bold, smart, delicious combinations.
The Chianti here is also absolutely exceptional — velvety, rich, and bursting with depth. It elevates the entire meal. And the pistachio dessert? Truly unforgettable. Lusciously creamy with an intense, nutty flavor that melts in the mouth!
The service was warm and relaxed, with just enough attentiveness to make you feel cared for without intruding on the easy vibe.
La Bohème completely charms you. With its relaxed interior and a menu full of fresh surprises, it was one of the most memorable meals we had in Florence. We left full, happy, and looking forward our return visit! I highly recommend having a meal here to anyone...
Read moreGreat service, mediocre flavors. I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The service was top notch and menu options exciting and innovative. However, the flavors of their dishes fell short. For my first course, I ordered the Pici pasta with shrimp and spicy Nduja and bread crumb topping. While the dish had a good presentation, the flavor was bland and lackluster. I couldn’t taste even a hint of Nduja and the pasta sauce was not specially flavorful in anyway. For the second course, I choose the filet with mash potatoes. The steak was good quality, cooked to my preference. The potatoes were made with a curry which sounded enticing on the menu but ended up being a disappointment. Again, the flavor was weak. Frankly, I had to add salt to both dishes (something I almost never do in. Italy). The restaurant was otherwise wonderful, with modern decoration and amazing service. They only need to tweak and refine their flavors a bit to become a truly...
