This is the best Indian food I have ever had, hands down, the best. This place is actually amazing, the staff like Rashad are amazing, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing. If you are in Florence this is 100% the place to go. I know Italy is known for pasta and pizza, but their Indian food is on another level. When I went, I personally ordered the Malabar Masala Dosa, and I would definitely recommend it. I expected this to be very good, due to the high ratings, but this was extraordinary. Normally with a Dosa, you get the bread and the sauces, The two together are good, but here, both the Dosa and the sauces could be a meal by themselves they are so tasty, and together, this is one of the best dishes in Florence, and by far the best Indian. I was lucky to live close to the restaurant, so I could get there pretty quickly, but I would travel from anywhere in the city for this food, it is that good. The restaurant is also near the Duomo and that area, so if you are close to that, this should be your place to grab a meal. The food was so delicous in fact that I asked one of the people helping serve the food, Rashad, what is was called, so when I traveled back from Italy I could find a restraunt that serves it, or try to make it myself. He immediately told me the name, and I wrote it down quickly in order to remember. This is called Vegetable Sambar. It has a texture close to a lentil soup or similar, and a flavor that pairs perfectly with anything you add to it. I found that once I had eaten all the Dosa, it went great with any of the other bread on the table. It is just great! Along with the food, the service is amazing. Rashad along with all the waiters and staff were great, they immediately greeted you as you entered the restraunt, gave great tips on what to order, and helped with everything. On top of all of this, the prices are extremely reasonable. Back in the US something may be 4 or 5 dollars, but here I found it for 2.5 Euro, a great deal for such great food. In summary, this was a great experience, and I enjoyed some of the best food I...

Read moreIndian Palace is a charming little restaurant in Florence that offers a delightful escape into the world of Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and traditional Indian decor. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door.
The menu features a wide variety of classic Indian dishes, from fragrant curries and tandoori grills to fresh naan and fluffy rice. I was particularly impressed with the selection of vegetarian options, which is often limited at Indian restaurants in Italy. While I must admit that the South Indian dishes, like dosas and idlis, were not quite up to the mark for someone who grew up eating them, it's understandable given the challenges of sourcing authentic ingredients in a foreign country. That being said, everything I tried was still very flavorful and enjoyable.
I highly recommend the butter chicken, which was perfectly tender and swimming in a rich, creamy sauce. The lamb Rogan Josh was also excellent, with melt-in-your-mouth meat and a complex spice blend. For something lighter, try the vegetable biryani, which is packed with fresh vegetables and fragrant spices.
If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience in Florence, Indian Palace is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for a slightly different take on South Indian dishes, which is to be expected in a foreign country. Overall, I had a very enjoyable meal here and would recommend it to anyone who loves...
