Pizzeria Amalfitana — Restaurant in Florence

I cannot say anything about the food, cause left after a hour of waiting. We were first left waiting at the door for about 10 minutes till someone finally seated us. Not sure if it was a seat yourself restaurant but there were plenty of seats available, definitely wasn't busy. Then we sat at our table for about 50 minutes with just our menu, no water, no ciao, nothing...we waved them down twice, said excuse me (said it with our chest) and they never even looked at our table.... @.@ LOL We were very patient cause we know that restraunts in Italy takes their time and etc. However, this was the first experience where we were completely ignored. We were recommended by our Airbnb host about their fantastic food, however due to their terrible service we will give them a one star with no review on their food.

The owners offer a service that is not very empathetic. You have to go looking for them in the back of the place to place your order, because they are talking or just doing nothing. I arrived at 10:25 p.m., close to closing time, until someone deigned to appear. It was 10:35 p.m., and they told me that they had closed 5 minutes ago (there were at least 12 people in the place). A lack of respect and very little desire to serve customers. It seems that they must be doing very well with that small pizzeria to look down on customers like that. I bought another cheaper and better pizza 50 meters away by taxi. I will never return to this...

My daughter and I visited your restaurant twice on our recent trip to Firenze. We feel so fortunate to have found you. The pizza was excellent, the restaurant warm. We really enjoyed seeing one of your guests with a small white dog cradled in a satchel, so polite during dinner!
