Wabi Sabi — Restaurant in Florence

My first evening in Florence, Italy, couldn't have been more memorable, all thanks to the incredible hospitality at Wabi Sabi. As a newcomer to the city, I found myself stranded without a taxi to return to my hotel after a delicious dinner just before closing time. The owner, embodying true kindness and generosity, not only called a taxi for us but also waited patiently outside until one arrived. The genuine care and consideration made me feel truly welcome in this beautiful city. I'm immensely grateful for the warmth and hospitality extended by both the owner and the staff. To start, good service.

Unfortunately I was put off by the meal. The rice used was not of great quality. Due to my own fault of not understanding Italian when I really should have been more prepared, I did not realise that there was an all you can eat option which may have raised my perception of the restaurant.

That said, portioning of the eel and the taste of it left something to be desired. As mentioned previously, the rice was not good. I left feeling unfulfilled. Though that's of course a danger of eating Japanese food in Italy. Of course, I don't want to plainly bash the restaurant because I'm sure they take pride in what they do but I don't really have much else to say....

Ogni volta passando con la macchina dal viale dei mille ,mi trovavo ferma al semaforo , il mio sguardo , incuriosito si posava sull' insegna di "Wabi Sabi " , ieri per la prima volta , ci siamo recati per asporto , ma siamo rimasti impressionati positivamente , dalla calda accoglienza ricevuta ; per ciò abbiamo deciso di fermarci per la cena , ed è stata veramente un ' ottima decisione , un piacere ; per il cibo , l' ambiente , il servizio , il personale , gentile paziente nel consigliare, spiegare gli ingredienti di ogni piatto , escludendo quelli che possono creare reazioni allergiche ,alla / al cliente . Soddisfatti ? Siamo tornati oggi x Asporto , ed abbiamo approfondita la conoscenza , un Ristorante multiculturale ; personale di Paesi Diversi , che lavorano insieme , nel reciproco Rispetto ! Chi desidera un figlio può chiedere aiuto ,ad una Dea Buddista di cui non ricordo il nome , posata sul muretto all' entrata ! Auguri x le Feste...
