Ristorante Zi'Carmela — Restaurant in Forio

We came here on an off night and only the pizzeria/sushi bar part of the restaurant was open. The decor was very unique! We got the fried zucchini flowers, a pasta fritter, a chicken sandwich, and a Griccia pizza. All items were delicious! The pesto ricotta in the fried zucchini flower was dreamy. The pizza was hot and fresh and the bacon was crisp, and the crust was so fluffy. My husband said the bun on his sandwich was the most soft bread he had ever had. The chicken was also fried crispy. For the starters, we ordered the « pasta omelette », it didn’t have very much taste. We ate pastas and risotto for the entrees and it was pretty good. However, we do not recommend to order deserts! The tiramisu was literally frozen and the pie was cold too. For the bill, they tried to charge us more than we were supposed to pay. It was probably an error, but it could be intentional because we are tourists.

Esperienza molto positiva. Ci sono stato a cena con la mia ragazza in agosto. Ho chiamato per prenotare e ci è stato riservato un tavolo sul terrazzino con vista sul porto di Forio, molto carino. Abbiamo ordinato uno spaghetto alla chitarra (specialità della casa) e un pacchero con la ricciola. Entrambi i piatti erano molto ben preparati e squisiti. Sugli spaghetti alla chitarra c'erano pochi frutti di mare, ma il sapore del sughetto era intenso quindi è stato comunque molto apprezzato. I paccheri pure ottimi, con una abbondante quantità di pesce. Per il vino abbiamo chiesto se fosse possibile avere un vino della casa (non scritto sul menù) e ci hanno proposto un biancolella fatto da alcuni coltivatori locali con le pesche tagliate a pezzi (il classico vino e percoche), molto buono. Abbiamo concluso con due dolci, altrettanto buoni. Camerieri molto gentili e disponibili, tempi di attesa non eccessivi (circa 20 min per i primi) Prezzi assolutamente adatti alla qualità e alla location: 18 per gli spaghetti, 16 per i paccheri, 5/6 per i dolci e per il 1/2 L di vino.
