Hotel Porto Azzurro — Restaurant in Giardini-Naxos

We arrived here after being in an awful B&B in Palermo so we were relieved to see our bright, clean, sea view room withbalcony. There is a new bathroom tastfully renovated with plenty of white towels & all shower gels etc in it. The breakfast was great- choice of cereals, fruit juices, coffee,different breads, cheese,ham, boiled eggs followed by delicious pear tart, croissants & chocolate brioche. Then a big bowl of fruit to choose from. I was half hour late but it was no bother to them they just laid me a fresh table looking out to sea. The staff are so welcoming & nothing was any trouble. The bedroom is bright & airy with a balcony & sea viw. Sheets etc are crisp white & smell of gorgeous soap. Bins & towels changed every day & room is spotless. Wifi is brilliant in the room & is free. Can highly recommend this lovely hotel which is inly 3/5 mins walk to beach & restaurants where you can have a meal watching mount Etna puffing away. it is close to all shops &...

Terrible. Arrived yesterday. There was a hole in the ceiling instead of one of the light bulbs. The wardrobe is ancient and broken, with 4 tshirts you can hang there. The fridge is inside the wardrobe making it even nosier then it originally is (and it is very noisy, I had to turn it off for the night). The light on the balcony can not be turned off, it just stays there untill 11.30 pm, so no chance of having a dark room. The road is just under your balcony and the music was thumping loudly till 1 am. So you need to sleep with the closed balcony door, and the room is very small, so no air. At 6 am the road gets noisy, then the cleaners start to yell and smash doors. Breakfast - the bread was stale, limp cheese and slimy ham. Got out of there first thing in the morning. The owner yelled at me for half an hour before I finally got away. Don't go! This is the first time I had to...
