We had a fantastic dining experience at 1961 Prosciutteria (aka Jonny Pizza) yesterday. Tucked away on a quiet, sheltered square away from the hustle of the town center, this place is a perfect hidden gem.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and Rakib was very attentive, making us feel like royalty as we celebrated our first wedding anniversary here in Grado. The service was perfect, with each of our three courses beautifully paced over an hour and a half. We could take our time and savor every moment, which completely goes against the reviews that mention long waits. In our experience, the pacing was timely, intentional, and appreciated!

A Culinary Journey is what we got last night. The food was absolutely scrumptious. We started with a plate of fantastic, thinly sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and melon. For our main, we chose the Spaghetti Vongole, a local classic. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the clams were wonderfully fresh and the dish well-seasoned. The chef did an excellent job! We also savored some delicious smoked trout with freshly toasted bread and grilled vegetables. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and having various oils, vinegars, and spices on our table to season to our own taste was a lovely touch. We ended our evening with a classic tiramisu.

From start to finish, we were delighted with the food and service. For the quality and care you receive, you truly dine like a king here. If you're in Grado, I highly recommend you plan a lunch or dinner here. We will absolutely be back on...

If you are looking for a place with genuine italian cuisine, with a wonderful ambiente and perfect service, this is the place to go in Grado. Almost hidden in a small place apart from the usual restaurants for tourists, this is a real gem. First of all there is the food: Traditional italian dishes like pasta with ragu and a good variety of pizze and also some dishes that are less commonly known are on the menu. Everything made to a very high standard. And there's always the prosciutto from San Daniele in a lot of variants. Be it on the pizza, in the pasta sauce or pure. A sheer delight. My personal favorite was the pasta with a very rich and creamy sauce with diced prosciutto and poppy seeds. A little unusual but very tasty. The choice of wines is excellent and the waiters are very helpful in choosing the right one for your dish. And now to the service: quick, efficient and very friendly. The head of the waiters, Rakib, is always there when you need him. He always has the right suggestions as to what wine fits best, he has a friendly word for everyone and his optimism and love for his job are a joy to watch. All the people there were so kind. We...

To start on a positive note, the staff were all friendly with very limited english. We ordered 3 pizzas, and after 30 min, the waiter came to tell us that pizzas would be late for up to 30 min... if we want something else. Since we were hungry, we said sure, we ordered pasta with ragu and some salads, which came after 20 min... so 50 min in total. The ragu was mediocre and pretty salty. When we asked for parmigiano, they said it got spoiled, that they would bring a new one, which they didn't. We also got bread along with salad, which we dipped in olive oil with salt, so...

Spiegazioni? "Eh l'ho segnalato in cucina". Zero scuse. Zero richieste. Veramente imbarazzante.
