Not our best experience here. (We have come every year for past five years). Waiter slapdash (in the past they took pride in explaining nuances of the menu) . No fish on the main course menu. Baccalà with too much mashed potato. Gloop served with roasted egg. Lake fish overly vinegary. Main meat dishes served tepid. Signature dishes from previous years missing (has the chef changed?). Good points: desserts and wine list.
[for contrast, here's my review from two years ago]We had a birthday dinner here on August 19th. Gorgeous outdoor setting (ask for the terrace) Food is first-rate -- tuna tartare and veal cheek particularly good. also venison. Good wine list, with local bottles. Spoilt slightly by snooty service. We ordered the (pricey) cheeseboard and were expecting some explanation of what came from where (and from which animal) etc. But the rather overworked waiter just said "eat it in that order" and hurried off. To be fair, he was serving the whole (nearly full) terrace, which is up two flights of stairs from the kitchen, with just one table-clearer to help. Still, he could have...

The pappardelle was a pleasant surprise, with the subtle addition of cocoa elevating the dish to a rich and satisfying flavor profile. The filet mignon was of exceptional quality, perfectly tender and enhanced by a refined sauce that complemented the meat without overpowering it. The bistecca was equally impressive, cooked to perfection and full of robust flavor. However, the tiramisu at the end felt out of place on an otherwise excellent menu. The cocoa flavor was overly bitter and dominated the dessert, detracting from what should have been a smooth and satisfying conclusion. While the final note fell short, the overall dining experience was still...
Read moreThat wasn't a nice dining experience last Sunday! We sat downstairs in the interior, there was mold on the ceiling. It didn't smell good. Primo Piatto: Gnochi con Camberetti: It was Sepia instead of Camberetti. Linguine con salmone, ok. But neither was well seasoned or tasty. Also too expensive for the small quantity. Secondo Piatto: Tagliato di Manzo. It was ok, although not particularly great. Unfortunately, we waited far too long overall (over an hour for the Secondo) and unfortunately it was too expensive in terms of price-performance ratio (4 glasses of wine, 1 bottle of water, 4x Primo, 4x Secondo: EUR 180.)...
