It is very difficult to find a vegan-friendly restaurant on the lake of Como so I really wanted to gave this a try. Top experience!
The menu changes frequently but there are more than one vegetarian/vegan options, and that evening I have had the farinata di ceci, it was divinely good! Burst of flavour in the mouth. The ingredients are fresh and organic. The selection of wines of the day all sound so attractive, I ended up getting 2 glasses of wine for myself and 1 glass for my husband. We like the rosé wine so much and we bought a bottle after the meal.
The waitress obviously know about the wine and she has been helpful. She also offered some organic extra virgin olive oil in a very cute handmade ceramic plate for us to try. The vegan cheesecake also very delicious. Love all the little details on the table and the ambience.
It is not a place for budget meal but a dining experience with the organic ingredients and wines, supporting small business and local wine makers. We would return again!
P.S: Reservation is recommended for weekend nights as they have limited...
Read moreWe had a lovely dining experience, made personal by the owner who served us and shared stories about local wines and how the restaurant began. Her wine recommendations, from nearby vineyards, matched our preferences perfectly and the selection was impressive. The quiet room created a relaxed atmosphere, though warmer lighting would have made it feel cozier. The menu was small but thoughtful, with unique takes on classic dishes. We appreciated the creativity, but it would have been great to know in advance that the carbonara, fx, was made with sausage instead of guanciale. The pasta also felt a bit undercooked, firmer than expected. Again, could be just my personal preference.
Still, it felt like a genuine Italian experience, and we would recommend it to those looking for something distinctive...
Read moreI can only give this restaurant 4 stars because it is not exclusively vegan. My partner and I visited for an evening meal. As a vegan I found eating out difficult in this area, so was grateful for this lovely place: the environment was quirky and relaxed. We were served by a lady who couldn't have been more helpful and was clearly passionate about the place. The chef also asked us if everything was okay. The food was filling and tasty. The desserts were delicious. If we ever visit the area again, we'll definitely pay this...
