What a hidden gem! The double room (102) was clean and simple and quintessentially European. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was decently-sized. The best part? Your own private balcony with table and chairs with an unobstructed immediate view of Lake Como and the Italian Alps. Wow! Buy a rose from the attached bar/restaurant downstairs (and a gelato!) and just sit back and enjoy! The staff were all friendly and helpful, wanting to ensure our stay was perfect. Some may struggle with English, but the hospitality and customer service were palpable, despite language barriers. We'll definitely return to this less touristy Lake Como destination and stay here. Cost was very inexpensive for what you get. Caution: like most European small hotels of a certain generation, there is no elevator and you will have to lug your luggage up several...

Spent 6 nights here while competing in a Eurocup regatta at the sailing club in Gravedona. It was exactly what we needed. Great value very very friendly staff and owners. Room spotless clean with a balcony overlooking the lake and brilliant aircon which was needed with temperatures up to 38 degrees. Although breakfast not included we just went downstairs every morning for a coffee and croissant. In the evening great place to have a drink with other competitors before finding a restaurant in the town. Hope to return for a proper holiday here in the future.
