The manager here is SO friendly as is the rest of the staff! The food was wonderful (yes, even for me as the group Veg-head!). We hit the pizza and pasta pretty hard the first few days in Italy and really needed a change of pace. The guys said this place was the BEST wings they have ever had and the Wagyu burger was the first burger they actually approved of as not “smelling like dirty socks” in any European country we have been to. The steaks and ribs received rave reviews as well. The veggie burger is a bit off-ratio to the bun, but just slice off the extra bun as a side of bread and boom - perfection! The mashed potatoes had an amazing smoky flavor to them - just YUM (vegetarian friendly - not vegan friendly due to cream/butter, FYI). The desserts were simply amazing. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! The whole group loved it and that’s a hard thing for any restaurant to accomplish!! We ended up coming in twice for dinner - and I did t think to snag pictures until dessert the second time otherwise I would share those too! You will not regret stopping in here, so do yourself a favor...
Read moreOur experience at Bif started not that great at the beginning. We saw on the internet that Bif was open from 19.30-22.30, so we walked around 19.25 to the restaurant. Once we got there the waiter told us to wait 10 mins (no reason why) while the terrace was completely empty.. so we waited. In the meantime it was 19.45 when we finally got ourself a dinnertable (btw the terrace was still empty), kinda strange. The staff wasn’t that nice and welcoming, while taking our order. After eating our burger and a tiny basket of fries we wanted to pay. The machine didn’t work and it said that we didn’t paid, but there was money of our bankaccount so that was very weird. The vibe at the restaurant became worse because the waiter wanted us to pay again but we didn’t got our money back on the bankaccount and we did not want to pay twice. We said we wanted to call our bank for information. The waiter responded: ‘oke thankyou, but this table is booked after you guys so...’. That means hurry up and pay. We love burgers and some other restaurant than usual but this vibe in this restaurant was not for any repeat...
Read moreFantastic culinary experience! Went there with my partner to try their dry aged meats. I wanted to try some local beef but also Im a Rib-Eye kinda guy and laid my eyes on their Tomahawk, the server mentioned it was from Polish cows and I was a bit skeptical about it, but he assured we wouldnt be disappointed and hell he was right! One of the best steaks I've had in my life! Cooked blue rare to perfection, lightly warm in the inside but raw, nice charred and caramelized on the outside, very prominent of lovely fat! Also had couple appetizers one better than the other, their tartar with red carabinero shrimps was to die for, as well as their salumi board. To top it up, last but not least, the service was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly! Will go back when visiting La Spezia again, grazie...
