Il Banco — Restaurant in Lecce

We went there some days ago and the experience was incredible. It is based in the middle of Lecce, close to busy area. The osteria has reduced spaces inside and some tables outside. I really recommend to order the burrata, which for me, was the best dish they have. Also all kind of pasta they offer is wonderful. You will enjoy it more if you like spicy food. Most of them are made with garlic, which makes them a different taste. Probably we will repeat in some days, it is the best restaurant we have...

The only positive thing is the friendly waiter, waitress. We sat outside, nice atmosphere but food is a big disappointment ! The pasta recommendation from the chef- with anchovies, my god, way far far too saltyyy, my lips went numb after two spoons...told the waiter he said because of the anchovies and supposed to be salty !! What? because of anchovies, I need to spit out? aaahhhhh....the other pasta with meatballs was just ok, like for kids meal..eerrr..what a...

Some friends took me to this restaurant, as they knew the owner, and we obviouslygot the royaltreatment. We didn’t even have to look at the menu because the daily special was recommended to us. It was fresh pasta with three choices—mussels, tuna, or shrimp—so we decided to try one of each. All three dishes were simply excellent, with the pasta cooked perfectly al dente and packed with flavor. The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious....
