If you are looking to have a pizza in Lucca you just found it. We came around 20min before Siesta ends. There was no problem with it, they seated us even though they just had a dinner.

FOOD 5/5 There are a lot of pizza options. We went for Margherita with artichokes and mushrooms. And a Salad with salmon (it comes with pizza sticks). Pizza dough was like a cloud, simply fantastic! The only downside was the canned mushrooms, not fresh. But yea, we lived with that. Salad was also very good, but nothing that would blow my mind. The bread sticks were a nice surprise.

STAFF 6/5 One of the sweetest guys who served me 🙂

ATMOSPHERE 5/5 We really felt like in a local restaurant. Not much of fancy style but a nice and cozy pizzeria (we were on the terrace, so I have no idea how the inside looks).

PRICE & PORTIONS 5/5 Not much to say, the prices are totally fine we paid 29 EUR for pizza, salad, beer, ice tea. This is totally fine.

P.S. dogs...

We were recommended Funiculi by our host in Lucca. And oh boy, we were glad he did it. The best Neapolitan pizza in all Lucca. Yes, you can eat pizza pretty much everywhere in Lucca in sometimes overpriced tourist areas. But believe me everything falls short at what you can get at Funiculi. The best pizza made in rustic Neapolitan style. The staff is young, but very friendly and professional and are serving your food with style. So if you're visiting Lucca, make a short drive to San Concordio neighborhood and have yourselves excellent pizza. You won't be disappointed! Five out...

A cozy, cute and mainly visited by Italians pizza place that serve amazing pizzas and even better fried antipasti pizza/or “bites“.

We had some great Fritos as starters/antipasti and a mixed salad/insalata mista. Important to note is that the salad comes with a focaccia. When you order and estimate the food amount you should take that into consideration.

You have a ton of pizza choices and all possibilities sound great. All pizzas we had tasted great. We also made some substitutions which was easily doable.

Allego foto.
