Absolutely worth the walk from the Centro Storica if you happen to be staying there and have a kitchen at your disposal. Fantastic pasta fresca, nice and helpful service (they put up with my bad Italian with a smile!) and OMG the quality of the food. Tried the gnocchi di patate (which I cooked with some browned butter, prosciutto and sage) and some ravioli stuffed with pear and pecorino. The results? Beyond my wildest dreams.

Se dovete fare bella figura o semplicemente mangiarvi un buon primo, alla sfoglia d'oro non conosco rivali, basta avere un'idea anche se vaga di quello che uno vuol fare, recarsi lì e concretizzare il proprio pensiero, dalla pasta fresca di tutti i formati, ai ravioli senza tralasciare gli agnolotti, i cappelletti i tordelli lucchesi, ma non posso elencare le varie prelibatezze che si possono trovare alla sfoglia d'oro non basterebbe questa pagina, le paste pronte e i sughi (credo che i proprietari siano di origine emiliana) e comunque al di la` della loro origine tutti i prodotti adoperati sono di qualità superiore lavorati con cura e amore.
