Ristorante Pizzeria Marlin — Restaurant in Lungòni/Santa Teresa Gallura

If I could give zero stars I would. I am staying in a nearby hotel to this restaurant (actually I can see the entrance from my balcony). I am a solo, female traveller and decided to get some dinner close to my hotel. I waited until I saw plenty of open tables and walked over. Upon arrival, there was a group of 3 (who were promptly seated) in front of me. While waiting for my turn to be seated, another group of 3 walked up behind me. The host, upon learning it would be a table for one, told me there was no availability (even though I could see open tables). No suggestion of wait just a few minutes, just plain no. As I turned to leave, the group of 3 were being welcomed and shown to a table. I haven't seen another person be turned away since I came back to my room. I don't know if it's because I'm a single, female traveller or because I'm American, but I would not give my time or money to this restaurant. I have travelled extensively around Europe (and currently live in Italy) and have never been treated so poorly. I have friends staying in this hotel in a few weeks and will encourage them to seek alternative...

Such arrogance from the side of staff we never experienced. We are travelling along the North coast of Sardinia and live in Switzerland we decided to eat in the restaurant after swimming. I had a closed swimming suit with the scirt, husband had shorts and a T-shirt. We were not allowed to sit with everyone and we're invited to sit on the bar hockers away from other clients, it was OK as far as we wanted to eat a dessert and go. My husband said he wants a pizza and to sit in normal table. The waiter said we are not allowed in " swimming costumes". First we were not in swimming open or dirty clothes and second what kind of service you provide to clients in front of the beach??? We left and we don't regret reading bad references from other traveller's experiencing to be allowed to try pizza & were disguisted by its quality and portions of expensive dishes. Never again!!! Absolutely not worth to please those farmers...

Aggiornamento Agosto 2023: Eccoci nuovamente qua, è passato un anno e siamo tornati al Marlin, fiduciosi viste le passate esperienze. Abbiamo ordinato uno spaghetto alle vongole, frittura di calamari e gamberi, pizza Margherita e pizza vegetariana. Il locale era quasi pieno, ma comunque c'erano tanti camerieri a servire. I piatti sono arrivati con molta distanza l'uno dall'altro, eravamo in quattro e abbiamo mangiato in tempi diversi. Gli spaghetti con le vongole erano discreti, nulla di che, ma la quantità era "striminzita" (così definita dal cameriere che gentilmente mi ha offerto un bis). Ero abituato a quantità decisamente differenti (sempre al Marlin). Poi arriva la frittura, calamari gommosi e praticamente senza pastella. Anche qui non ci siamo. Infine le due pizze, molto gommose con un pomodoro di bassa qualità e la mozzarella è le verdure quasi lesse. Volevamo infine ordinare le seadas, nella speranza di concludere meglio la serata, ma non siano riusciti a farci notare da un cameriere, quindi dopo un pò c'è ne siamo andati via. Mi spiace molto, ma la cena è stata deludente, nulla a che vedere con gli altri anni. Alcuni amici sono andati al Marlin nel mese di luglio ed hanno riferito che era tutta un'altra storia (migliore sia in qualità che quantità).

Aggiornamento 2022: Anche quest'anno siamo tornati al Marlin. Nuova gestione, ma stesso ottimo servizio! Sono stati ritoccati un po' i prezzi (l'antipasto Marlin è passato da 25€ nel 2021 a 30€ nel 2022. Confermo la qualità, vale la pena tornare a mangiare qui.

Agosto 2021: Ristorante accanto alla spiaggia principale di Santa Teresa di Gallura. Ottima posizione, parcheggio strisce blu a pagamento. Location all'aperto coperta con ombrelloni, personale disponibile e cortese. Il menù offre una scelta variegata sia di pesce, carne e pizza. Ho mangiato già 2 volte assaggiando sia pesce che pizza. L'antipasto Marlin è veramente eccezionale, vengono serviti divertenti piatti caldi e freddi con tanti tipi di pesce cotti in differenti modi. È un antipasto ma vale come cena completa, dopo si è veramente pieni. Tutto squisito, gamberi, calamari, moscardini, cozze, tonno, frittura, etc. siamo rimasti tutti soddisfatti. Anche il prezzo 25 € è ottimo. La scelta dei vini è ben fornita. Lo consiglio vivamente. (Le foto...
