Kapunto — Restaurant in Matera

We recently dined at Kapunto and had an unforgettable experience. The pasta we ordered was hands down the best I've ever tasted; it was so delicious that I couldn't resist ordering a second portion to share with my partner. The wine selection complemented the meal perfectly.

What impressed me equally was the quick and attentive service. Our dishes arrived promptly, allowing us to enjoy our meal without any unnecessary delays. Moreover, the restaurant maintained exceptionally clean and well-kept restrooms, which is always a sign of a well-managed establishment.

Overall, our visit to Kapunto was a delightful culinary journey, and I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience. The pasta & sauce I definitely recommend is butter and sage...

We had an incredible lunch here. We were quite early but welcomed in and had a drink whilst they set up for lunch. The owner is so friendly and explains the concept of the restaurant so well. You choose your fresh pasta at the bar and then whichever sauce you like from the menu. The starters from the deli are also incredible. The chard pie is exceptional. As is the zucchini, the grilled veg salad and potatoes. How you make just a tomato and basil sauce that delicious I don’t know, but it truly was incredible. Really interesting different fillings for the ravioli too. The decor is very chic and there’s a great selection of craft beer if you’re into that....

Had a wonderful lunch here with my family after a long guided tour in the city centre visiting the Massi. The concept is of a “tavola calda”, which means food has been cooked earlier that day and you go to the counter to pick the dish you want to eat. They then heat it up for you.
