Ristorante Pizzeria Van Gogh — Restaurant in Matera

Every 2 years my family returns to Matera.

My kids cannot wait because every pizza they eat, anywhere around the world they compare it to Bartalomeo's (the owner) from Van Gogh restaurant.

Nothing compares.

This restaurant has won multiple awards for the best staff, best food, and best of all the best pizza in all of Italy (that's huge).

The staff is super friendly, helpful and they even like to get funny and playful, super cool 😎.

I would rate 100 stars 🌟🤩 if I could. If you are in matera you must hit up Van Gogh restaurant....

I waited around 30 minutes to take my order and then more 25 for the food to arrive and it was not worth to wait. I ordered black Angus steak and it was the most disgusting meat I’ve ever experienced.i ordered medium done and I received medium and it was raw. Set in a central location, visited by locals and tourists alike. Very clean, great looking location. We had pizza and antipasti. The antipasti were quite good.
