SpeSì — Local services in Matera

It looks small on the outside but you will find everything you need for a week or less in Matera (food, toiletries, cat food, fruits, veggies etc). Reasonable prices. Their deli and cheeses were fresh and really good. We got really good gorgonzola here. The lady at the deli counter was really lovely. They actually greet customers which is unnecessary. I don't know why people leave bad reviews for a supermarket just because they didn't smile at them, let them...

Prices are great compared to the states. Spent €19 for a three day supply of groceries and beer. Also the cashier was genuine and nice. I don’t understand why people call others weird when all they see is the customer service end of things. Maybe people are just annoying and the cashier responds...

It's the first time I had a great bread from a supermarket. Well done!

I also forgot some of my shopping, came back 20 minutes later without a receipt and was given the forgotten things.
