This place is a must-visit if you are in Milan! It is run by the nicest family, and the food was the best food I had in Italy. We went there twice for breakfast (coffee and a chocolate brioche) and returned once for dinner. The risotto was incredible—rich, creamy and full of flavour despite the no-frills (we tried various “fancier” risottos during our trip, with champagne, strawberries, truffles etc, but they paled in comparison to this one). The spicy penne pasta was also amazing. We also had the carpaccio, which was fresh and tangy. Next to the food, the best part was the atmosphere. Most of the clientele is locals, who pop in for a coffee or meal throughout the day. It is as far from a tourist trap as you can get. And the service was second to none! Read moreWe found this highly rated restaurant from Goggle Map review and decided to give it a try despite some reviewers commented that the owners do not speak English and we do not speak Italian. True enough, there was no menu in English but lucky for us, one of the restaurant people showed us an Italian menu and go through each item one by one in (simple) English. We were able to order, ate like the local and had a very enjoyable meal. Price was very reasonable, about €53 for 4 mains, 2 cappuccino and a bottle of water. Highly recommended.
