Bon Wei — Restaurant in Milan

Had a very high expectations that lead to a huge disappointment. First of all, a place with unlimited numbers of dishes, at least we thought the waitress could find a pairing based on 1-2 food selection. Yet he asked what kind of food we would like, fish, beef, or duck, without explaining the dishes. He mentioned spicy, sweet, but not the ingredients 😅 in the end we ordered 5 dishes that turned out to have similar taste. Funnily enough, we couldn't taste the spices they use. Hong shao rou looks tender and plumpy, but the dish did not have it's authenticity, no cinnamon, anice not sweet soy sauce taste. What I remember was they put too much starch that the sauce looks like slime more than hours reduced sauce. Even more, they added Pak Choi without leaves 🥲 Never been to a low-quality-so-called fine dining experience like this before. The food was good and the place is nice as well. I booked a table for six on Saturday night from 20:00 to 21:30. 1 hour and half is not enough to have a fully dinner. We were asked to leave at 21:30 since other people were waiting for thier table. We couldn't had time for a coffe or desserts. The waiters and the services were not at the level of the restaurant. We were served by two young waiter, clearly new to the restaurant and unable to manage our orders and the serve timing. All the 3 wines we choosed were missing and we ended up with the one they suggest us (the few they got in the canteen?). The overall experience was bad, apart the tasty food, all the rest was really unxpected and delusional. Will NOT come back again, at least not on...
