Trattoria Al Toscanaccio — Restaurant in Milan

Magical Tuscany in Milan. This restaurant offers an incredible culinary experience! If I had to describe it in four words, it would be: "I REALLY HAD FUN!" The atmosphere is that of a Trattoria, but with a trolley at the entrance displaying magnificent fresh porcini mushrooms. The mise en place had fabric tablecloths with paper napkins. As soon as we sat down, we were immediately offered two glasses of Prosecco with warm croutons. The service was very professional and gave us really good advice! As an appetizer, we chose some excellent Colonnata lard with warm croutons and typical Tuscan salami (finocchiona). For the first course, fresh tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. For the second course, grilled sausage with three different side dishes: sautéed porcini mushrooms, French fries and grilled red radicchio. All washed down with a typical Tuscan but little-known red wine: Cigliegiolo! (truly unexpected but very welcome!) To finish the typical Tuscan dessert: Cantucci with Vin Santo. A FANTASTIC evening! Not sure how to review this place. Went here for dinner as it was close to our hotel. We hoped for an authentic Italian meal and think we got it. Obviously used by locals and not tourists. Menu not in English so we decided to order as best we could. Overall food was ok but nothing spectacular. Owner / chef seemed surprised when we ordered a bottle of wine. It was quiet when we were there and felt like they were almost waiting for us to hurry up. Service was very fast in fact too fast. Decidiamo di goderci l'ultima pausa pranzo fuori prima dell'entrata in vigore del DPCM del 04/11/2020. Ci incamminiamo senza una meta precisa e ci imbattiamo in questa semplice osteria toscana. Decidiamo di entrare e da subito l'impatto è super positivo per il rispetto diligente delle norme anti-covid, dettaglio da non sottovalutare visto come alcuni ristoratori hanno preso sotto gamba la situazione. Che dire, ci siamo trovati davvero benissimo! Cibo ottimo, abbiamo optato per tagliolini fatti in casa con funghi porcini e un carpaccio di carne al rosmarino con contorno di patate fritte fatte anche queste in casa. Ambiente semplice e molto accogliente, ma il punto forte è sicuramente l'attenzione al cliente e al servizio. Il ragazzo che ci ha accolto e servito (credo sia anche il proprietario) è stato di una gentilezza non invadente rara da trovare. Il conto assolutamente onesto per un pranzo (totale 20€ con un primo, un secondo, un contorno, acqua e caffè). Super consigliato, ci torneremo appena sarà possibile!
