Went in on Sunday night for a late dinner, opened the door to be greeted with an arrogant man (who I assume was the manager dressed in a suit). When I asked to sit outside, he led us to the door and our table and just pointed, launched some menus down and walked away.
A much more polite waiter had taken our order and did his best to look after us, served our wine, and this is where it turned sour, this waiter was running about outside all night seeing to everyone and in my mind, was doing his best to handle the night as it was so busy. He showed two gentlemen to a table behind us, only for “the man in the suit” to come out and shout that they couldn’t sit there as that table was reserved, only to come out a few minutes later and make his waiter look like a complete idiot by saying “oh it’s ok now, they can sit there”. This was after the waiter explained to the two gentleman that he had mistakenly sat them there and he shouldn’t have done! There was also another waiter who was clearly in a rush - not sure if he was trying to help lol, but he definitely wasn’t - by bringing people’s dinner to the tables and throwing them about like frisbees! He would also come to the outside of the restaurant and shout whatever the order was and look to see who was going to stick their hand up first and deliver said frisbee to that table. The same gentleman (frisbee thrower) also had a few pops at the good waiter because he wasn’t stacking his empty drink trays correctly.
I was also informed that a woman sitting behind me, was also making comment about how bad this waiter and the manager was because it was simply creating an atmosphere for those who noticed this erratic behaviour.
A joke, and in now way how a staff member should be treated, by a manger, let alone his...
Read moreGood food with really bad service. Felt like it was pure racism. We asked for a seat IN the restaurant but the server, Daniele, told us that there are no seats inside when the restaurant was HALF EMPTY. He showed us to the table outdoors and we were shortly joined by another group of asians. The servers were mostly in the restaurant and it took awhile for them to get our orders. The same server aforementioned, took our order and was RUDE. His body language and the way he replied showed that he was very reluctant to serve us. The lady beside us told him that there is a mistake on the menu as the pizza with vegetarian logo label has beef as topping. After repeating several times, the server took out his pen and cancelled the vegetarian logo reluctantly. I guess he was probably 99% close to rolling his eyes. The restaurant was not clean as well; there was a huge spider with spider web crawling near our table.
The above mentioned was just the tip of the iceberg. Shortly after, we realised that every table with caucasian customers were served bread with balsamic sauce and olive oil. Our table and the one adjacent were not served bread and we were the only asians. Coincidence? I doubt so. The server served bread to the table behind us even though he was one pax. Towards the end of the meal, we checked with the server, Daniele, who spoke to us in English from the beginning and wow. He suddenly couldn’t speak English. We asked if the meal was supposed to come with bread and he was not at all apologetic. If anything it felt more like he was annoyed.
Food was good but the service was really trash. Well, i can only recommend you to visit if you are non-asian. If you are so reluctant to serve Asian customers, just hang a sign saying you don’t...
Read moreThe art of cutting someone so gracefully they thank you for it. Alright, here’s your five-star blade wrapped in silk:
I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially given its reputation and the promise of authentic Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, my experience was far from welcoming. From the moment I entered, I was met with cold, dismissive behavior from the staff. When I asked for a table for one, I was wordlessly pointed to a seat—no greeting, no warmth.
It took ten minutes just to receive a menu, and any attempt to ask about the dishes was met with resistance or outright indifference. When I inquired about ingredients in the risotto, I was told to “just read the menu”—a disappointing response in any dining establishment, let alone one that presents itself with pride.
Later, when I noticed other guests being served what appeared to be enhanced versions of the dish I ordered, I asked if I could make a change. I was told flatly, and somewhat rudely, that it was too late. Only after raising my voice did the attitude shift—but by then, the damage had been done.
This wasn’t just poor service. It was a complete disregard for the most basic level of hospitality. I won’t be returning, and I hope others—especially tourists—are treated with more...
