Da Xin — Restaurant in Milan

This restaurant has very misleading pictures on the menu and real dish they serve taste terrible. The dishes we ordered got nothing to do with the pictures on the menus. It was really just some simple dishes you would see in any other Chinese restaurants, we ordered fried bean sprouts which should have tofu skin and lots of spring onions but in reality, it was nothing but a plate of really plain (literally no flavor) bean sprouts. The other dish is yuxiang shredded pork, is the worst I ever had in life experience, there is no carrot and capsicum like they show to customers on the menu. There was just few pork, black fungi and again, lots of bean sprouts. The one star I gave is for how ‘generous’ this restaurant is for bean sprouts. But proportion of the dish is not big in general. Sono capitato in questo ristorante per puro caso. Il giorno dopo una festa natalizia aziendale fotonica mi sveglio in panico pensando di essere in super ritardo. Mi preparo, faccio il checkout e inizio a camminare rendendomi conto che non ho proprio smaltito tutto nell'arco della notte. Ho bisogno di cibo caldo, piccante, confortante. Camminando su Corso Buenos Aires capisco che o mi mangio la colazione all'italiana o mi compro un paio di scarpe, quindi giro su via Vitruvio e mi ritrovo vicino ad un ristorante che da fuori sembra così misterioso che non posso non essere incuriosito, intrigato. C'è una porta che non permette di vedere dentro per via di una tenda che copre la visuale. Leggo velocemente il menù e decido di entrare. Sono appena le 12, trovo un ragazzo, presumibilmente il proprietario, seduto al tavolo che mangia e una signora vicino all'ingresso seduta a scaldarsi vicino ad una stufa a gas old school. 'Ste robe mi fanno impazzire e rimango; mi accomodo ad un tavolo, ordino una zuppa Wonton e un riso piccante saltato con gamberi, manzo e pollo. La zuppa ha vinto, mi ha riportato sulla terra, mi ha fatto fare pace con il me stesso ubriaco lercio della sera prima, con l'assistenza della salsa piccante portatami poco prima e da una Coca-Cola ghiacciata. Il riso ha coadiuvato a mettere uno strato extra nello stomaco; non era malvagio, anzi, ma non era nemmeno qualcosa di stellare. Durante tutto il pasto sono stato solo nel locale oltre ai proprietari e il senso di pace l'ha fatta da padrona. Ho pagato il giusto, il servizio è stato celere e gentile. La prossima volta che capito a Milano potrei tranquillamente prendere un considerazione tornarci, rigorosamente presto e da solo dopo una sbronza...

Even though the restaurant looks simple and unattractive from the exterior, the food was simply delicious. If anyone craving for good Chinese cooking in the heart of Milan, this is definitely the place to visit. The Chinese cooking is authentic and very delicious. The service was good and food was served in a short time. The atmosphere was good even though the restaurant was small and the tables had to be arranged very close to each other. The price was reasonable. Parking will be a problem but it is walking distance from Centrale Metro station. Love...
