Gelateria Borsieri — Restaurant in Milan

Poor service. We were a group of four and asked if we could try the ice cream. The server initially said yes, allowing each of us to sample one flavor, which seemed fair. However, after just two of us tried, he suddenly changed his mind, saying he couldn’t offer more samples because it would cost them too much. He also looked like he didn’t want to serve us anymore.

Why contradict yourself? If you didn’t want to offer samples, just say so from the start. We ended up not buying although we wanted to get a gelato before ending...

Exceptional Gelato in Isola. Looking for the best Gelato in Milano can be frustrating - they tend to all be pretty f**king awesome, and ranking them can end up being an exercise in "The very last one I had was the best". This is another in that list - it's just plain excellent. All the flavors are clear, clean, and intense, the texture is correct, it's not heavy, etc. etc. Mind you, you'll probably end up sitting on the wall right outside consuming the gelato because, well, why wait?

In gita domenicale veniamo accolti da un ragazzotto che, mani in tasca e senza nemmeno lo straccio di un sorriso, con fare appena sufficiente prova a seguirci con scarsa volontà e preparazione. Vabbè...optiamo per un bicchierino ricotta e pistacchio e un semifreddo al cocco. Tutto terribilmente dolce e di qualità mediocre. Se cercate qualità e un servizio attento e preparato, sono altre le gelaterie in Milano da provare. Prezzo nella media milanese e della zona, per noi non giustificato data la qualità del prodotto e del servizio.

Riprendo la recensione dopo la risposta del proprietario. Mi dispiace che un "mediocre", scritto da me, sia stato trasformato in uno "scarso" dal proprietario stesso. Voleva essere una critica costruttiva e un invito a migliorarsi, evidentemente questo non è stato colto. Come ben descritto, al momento, ci sono gelaterie migliori in Milano.
