Bistrot — Restaurant in Milan

A shame that the beauty of the presentation doesn't match the taste of the food.

The place is very nice and offers a series of expensive products, like crisps & Panettone. The problem is that they feel too expensive for what one could probably find outside.

Fresh food is not up to the task.

I ordered a pasta with gorgonzola and walnuts + parmesan. It should have been an explosion of taste and instead it tasted like a watered down boiled pasta in milk.

Mash was good but had probably stayed there in the pan a bit too much.

Grilled vegetables were ok but lacked condiments (and I didn't know where to find olive oil & salt).

I think it used to be better.

A good aspect is that the staff assured us that we could have stayed at our table for as long...

The setting looked great when I walked in. That’s the only good thing I can say about this place. Long story short: rude waiter, horrible food, overpriced, you might as well go to Burger King.

I ordered the $9 linguini from the pasta section, and the lady took some old looking noodles, tossed it into a dirty pan, scooped up a nasty looking sauce and poured it on the noodles, and 30 seconds after I ordered it, it was ready.

The pasta tasted as bad as it smelled. If I could describe it, it tasted like wet paper towels that had been dragged over the bathroom floor. I suspect the sauce was rotten, and the pasta was definitely very old.

The lady was rude and looked like she hated her job, I would give 0...

I was about to go home. Actually I always visit this place everytime I go to Milan and go home with train. It is located up in Milan centralle. I like the place because it's big. You can dine, drink and etc while waiting your train. I always order cappuccino even in the afternoon! Who cares? 🤣 I love cappuccino. Torta Della nonna is always Yummy!! I payed 5 euro something. Torta Della nonna is 3:20 and capuccino is 2.20 which is outside Centralle is 1.20 euro. If you want to save 1 euro then you can just go out of central station.
