Ice Bound — Restaurant in Milan

I was looking for a gelato nearby and found this place. I decided to try it. And I definitely recommend this place. First of all, the prices are very good and the portions are very generous. I took a small cup of ice cream and it was really big. And the staff is really nice! They explain every flavor, and in case you want to try it , you get a big spoon of the flavor you want to try. I took ricotta flavor with pistachio cream and a salted pistachio flavor. The salted pistachio was great. Ricotta one was way too sweet for me, but the pistachio flavor in pistachio cream was very pronounced. In case you like sweet things, try it. You can also get coffee here (1,20€/espresso) and some other drinks, like cocktails, for example. And there are some places to sit inside.

Food was not bad, decent quantity. The main problem of this place is the service. Don’t go after 16:30 looking for a coffee as they wont be able to make it. So I thought okay, I might return to alcoholism, lets get a small beer. I ordered a bottle of corona. You may think this ended here, me happy with my low-level alcoholism, but no. They also didn’t have corona. Then I attempted to order a glass of water and after receiving innumerous complains of the waiter, I finished ordering a medium size beer. Bad news came when the bill arrived: it was 10€ for just a beer. They said it is because it included the aperitivo, thing that wasn’t mentioned earlier. Thus, I asked where was that aperitivo at, as I had already been 10 minutes with my beer and no food had arrived. So they brought the food, that to be honest was not bad, but considering I only wanted a coffee this mfs where more than intelligent (or ruin) to...

I was walking around Milano with a friend and we both wanted a gelato. We went on google maps and decided to go to the ice bound because of the price. The price is really good for the amount of gelato you get, it’s a lot. Also the guy that served us was so nice, we don’t speak italian and the process went smoothly. The place is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Loved the experience and I will definitely recommend it to my friends that want to come to Milano! Beautiful place with delicious gelato (specialty the salty pistachio!).
