Decided to stay in this hotel because it screamed vintage to me, with the decorations to the little garden. Sadly I should have not gone with this route. I paid over $1500 for a 5 night stay and saw that it included breakfast so I decided to book even if it was a bit more. The first morning everything was fine, we were able to get breakfast which was just pastries, fresh fruit, meats and cheese. 2nd morning we went down again, then was told our room doesn’t have breakfast included that day. Weird because we talked with one of the servers and he let us know that the 1st day it said ‘Yes’ for breakfast and now the 2nd day is shows up as ‘No’ for breakfast. My reservation was booked through my Capital One rewards, so maybe that was the issue but it just seems sketch that 1 day was okay and the other wasn’t. When looking back to the booking confirmation it doesn’t show anything about my room not coming with breakfast nor it coming with breakfast. So i couldn’t argue, even though I clearly remember booking with breakfast included. In the end, I paid the 60€ fee for 2 people.
The room they assigned us to wasn’t that great either and a bit small. Cleaning wasn’t that great since they always ran out of towels + the shower looks really dirty and garden was not like the garden in the pictures.
The only thing that was good about this hotel was the location.
Never really reviewed anything on here before but I will figure out how to add...
Read moreMany hotels in Milan are extortionate near the centre, this one seemed better value for money and only a short 15 minute walk to Duomo Piazza. |The facilities were a mixed bag, aircon didn’t work in the room but only just seen through reading other reviews, that it only works in the summer months - room was very warm when we arrived so had the window open for a few hours! The hairdryer in the room is very basic, and for a lady with long hair can be problematic, so maybe bring your own! The shower was tricky to correctly operate as the head is right above the doors so you either get in, turn on and freeze whilst waiting for it to warm up, or turn it on and then open the doors to get in and soak the whole bathroom! |However little amenities were thought of - shower cap, cotton buds and nail file. Men on reception were very helpful and helped us book taxi’s, chat through tours and bring us still water to the room when inside the room was only sparkling. |Main issue for us was the noise from the room above, we could hear their toilet flushing and their shower running from below, which woke us up both mornings at 6am. Walls are thin and not well sound proofed between floors. We stayed on floor 2. Bring ear buds if light sleeper!|Breakfast was good, lots of choice of pastries, pancakes, ham & cheese, eggs...
Read moreShocking stay. It is the Fawlty Towers of Milan but without the charm or professionalism!
When we checked in we had booked a superior double. They tried a sneaky one to give us a classic double which was prob same size as a prison cell - although the prison cell would be more comfortable with pre space and working power sockets.
Only after complaining vigorously did they give us the room that we had booked and paid for. But considering this was our first impression, didn’t make us feel very welcome. Tip: make sure you tally up the pictures on their website to the room you have booked!
Breakfast is funny until you realise that you have paid money for it. The staff are so angry and miserable! Heaven forbid if you ask for cutlery! How dare you! Haha
They are so environmentally conscious that they will give you one towel between two of you which they won’t wash for 3 days. Commendable - but also very cheap and skanky.
Location is ok. Next to a supermarket and McDonald’s and restaurants. It is safe. It is about a 20 min walk to Duomo Cathedral. So great for getting your step count in.
Honestly there are so many better options in Milan. Don’t make the mistake we made by staying here....
