Minta — Restaurant in Milan

One of my top 3 restaurants that I have eaten at while visiting Milan- the restaurant is very cozy and allows you to have full attention of the server (who is also co-owner of the restaurant and very friendly!!) All the food at the restaurant is homemade, fresh and extremely delicious. I highly recommend trying the adobo dish and cassava cake for dessert- so flavorful and adequate portion sizes! Refined Filipino food! Perfect for an initiation to this cuisine. I’ve lived in Manila and was thrilled to try a place with very good ratings in Milan. My meal was delicious. I must say, it’s Filipino food adapted to Italian palates and I think it’s perfect this way. I had the croquette of aubergine and mint (probably the least Filipino dish on the menu) which were very nice. Good taste of eggplant, not watery, and strong crunchiness of the croquette. Vi dico solo che non abbiamo nemmeno fatto in tempo a fare foto al cibo (ritornerò sicuramente per ovviare al problema) da quanta fame avevamo ma vi assicuro che tutto come da menù è stato sublime. La quinta stella non la metto solamente per un paio di motivi ma non impatta a livello globale il mio pensiero.

Consigliato andare con i mezzi perché vista la zona purtroppo si fa difficoltà a parcheggiare (sia macchina, moto o altro mezzo). Noi eravamo un grande gruppo e abbiamo quasi occupato la totalità dello spazio. La coppia che gestisce il locale è stata gentilissima e simpatica nell’esporre i vari piatti e suggerire alle persone più indecise la soluzione migliore per assaggiare quanto più possibile dal menù. Abbiamo preso antipasti un primo un drink e varie bottiglie di acqua e alla fine chi di caffè e chi di dolce abbiamo praticamente assaggiato tutto.

Siamo rimasti sulle opzioni di carne rispetto al pesce (che hanno sperimentato solo in un paio) ma che non hanno convinto al 100%.

Essendo in una zona centralissima e piena di uffici è un’ottima soluzione per una veloce pausa pranzo. Preferita prenotazione se non si vuole rischiare di rimanere senza posto.

La quinta stellina essenzialmente non è stata data per 3 motivi principali: purtroppo il locale è piccino quindi si fa un po’ fatica e molto spesso per forza di cose si sta un po’ strettini, c’è un piccolo gradino che non permetterebbe (cosi come la disposizione dei tavoli) in maniera comoda ad una persona che è sulla sedia a rotelle o che ha delle stampelle di entrare e starci comodamente e appunto personalmente non ci ha convinto la parte di menù di pesce.

Per il resto il cibo è ottimo e per gli amanti della cucina filippina con qualche rivisitazione all’italiana provare questo posto è un must!...
