I ordered a cotoletta which literally had no taste. It was my second time in six years - I swear - not to be able to finish a dish! Which I honestly told the waiter excusing myself. The dish was hardly touched. He proposed to me to CHANGE the dish. Change meaning CHANGE. Which I did ordering on purpose (!) another dish of the same price of 30€ not to offend the restaurant.
When we went to pay the bill, first we were given the POS and only then the bill: the cotoletta WAS INCLUDED. Not even with a discount: full price!
When I said it was an embarrassing joke, I was told that my food is still in the kitchen and if I want I can take it away (really?!?!???)
Worst restaurant experience ever in Milan!!!! Service and client orientation - below basic level.
Dear restaurant management, if you ask yourself now what is expected in this situation as per the client service etiquette if you want to prove your high standards, I will tell you what civilized locations do: either they remove fully the refused and CHANGED plate, or at least and worst case scenario they discount it!!! And moreover - ANY restaurant - would give honestly the bill to the client to check before making them pay blindly to make sure the client is aligned.
Please learn to work in a decent way. And it is not a matter of 30€ thrown away but a matter of your approach. Shame.
PS. The owner instead of learning from feedbacks provided by his clients writes rude responses here on Google. He advises not to teach him work - well, then maybe learn your staff to first give the BILL and then charge the payment!
PPS. FYI a worldwide tool to prove a poor client service is not to be able to address low reviews with...
Read moreWe just went out for dinner there and were totally disappointed. The service was really poor! Both the young man and lady working there as waiters did not serve us friendly at all. They both were bored and it seemed that customers were more of a nuisance to them. Ordered water was just placed on the table without saying anything whilst walking by and talking to another table. The bottle of warm red wine was basically already opened before it arrived at the table (wine cork already stuck out half way) and no wish of enjoying it after pouring in. Wine prices are ridiculously high for the quality you get. Food served was just placed on the table without any wishes or friendliness. The noodles with white truffels tasted very mediocre and the portion was really small. (28 Euros) Filled raviolis was not more than average and a small portion too. Desert nothing special. All in all a total disappointment and a wasted...
Read moreAm Italian but I’ve been traveling the world for the past 8 years. In my journey I’ve been trying the best restaurants in cities like NY, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Berlin, London, Bogota and many more. ..Then I found Osteria dal Verme in Milan. Andrea welcomed us offering a 6* service. He walked us through the menu and gave recommendations that made this dinner one of the best I ever had.
Crostini with Burrata Risotto Milanese Patata lessa e grigliata Tortino al cioccolato e Torta di Pere con cioccolato bianco.
