Hands-down my favourite restaurant in whole Milan and the one I always keep recommending to everyone searching for a beautiful dinner or lunch experience with great food, fantastic wine and outstanding service! I am an absolute foodie, tried many different restaurants in Italy but THIS is a truly special hidden Gem 🫶🏻 thank me later!! The staff goes out of their way to make your time there unforgettable adjusts to personal wishes and preferences to the best of their abilities. They are incredibly welcoming, treat you with respect and kindness and are super knowledgeable about everything on their menu and wine list - if they recommend a certain wine, you should trust them, they know what they’re doing! Also, the owner is one of the most welcoming people I’ve got to meet in Milans food scene, aiming to create special, unforgettable moments for his guests and treating his staff like close family… a truly outstanding team! Besides that, I cannot stop recommending their food and wine enough! Their selection of Italien specialties is great and literally everything on their menu (and I’ve tried a lot!) was outstanding! Definitely try the Cacio e pepe or the risotto alla Milanese but also the pasta with ragu was out of this world good!! The Cotoletta looked fantastic as well, but there was simply no way we could have eaten even more that day, so we need to come back for that! Now talking about deserts, it does not matter what you pick from the menu, it will be just the perfect completion to a great evening - but if you ask me, I am a big fan of their tiramisu! Lastly, the atmosphere: honestly, the pictures speaks for themselves! This is truly a hidden Gem in the middle of Milan’s food scene and their entire Ambiente makes you feel like you’re the main character of a beautiful, classic movie. Everything is so well-thought through to transmit the essence of elevated Italien lifestyle and the garden with all the beautiful flowers and lights is one of the most beautiful places I’ve got to have dinner! When you know you’re going to Milan, this should be the first place you call to make a reservation!! :)

Osteria del Binari is a charming spot in Milan that perfectly captures the essence of traditional Italian dining with a touch of sophistication. From the moment you step inside, the warm, rustic atmosphere draws you in. The soft lighting, wooden interiors, and lush garden seating create an inviting ambiance that feels both cozy and elegant. The steak here is nothing short of exceptional—cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. Every bite is a testament to the high-quality ingredients and the skill of the kitchen. The sides and accompaniments were equally delightful, rounding out the meal beautifully. That said, the service, while friendly and attentive, was a bit on the slower side. Orders took longer than expected to arrive, which slightly dampened the flow of an otherwise wonderful experience. However, the staff’s warmth and the quality of the food made up for the wait. If you’re not in a rush and looking for a place to savor great food in an enchanting setting, Osteria del Binari is well worth the visit. The steak and atmosphere alone make it a standout choice in Milan!

We visited the restaurant on an August night...we were informed at the reception that we needed a reservation. We made one for an hour later. The problems started from this moment and on...the staff was extremely rude and they serviced us as if we were homeless people. The welcome drink was a shot of Campari which was poison along with a little bowl of peppers, carrots, radishes and celery. Needless to say that the carrots were black and not fresh. My wife ordered a dish with ravioli and a dish with pasta covered with minced meat for me and also an appetizer with 2 pieces of ham, one slice of bread and a tiny dough filled with sauce. The waitress was looking rudely when we asked only for water and not for wine to drink. The food was terrible but especially the pasta with the minced meat which was raw and red and that we stated at the waitress when she asked if everything was ok. After that she returned with a 50% discount (7 €)at this specific dish on the bill. The whole experience was the worst as we ate rubbish and we wasted our night there because of the very good reviews. Stay away from there. There are amazing places in Milan to enjoy the food and the kindness! By the way we are Greek so we are aware of the good quality of food and the hospitality!

Osteria del Binari is a fantastic spot for traditional Italian cuisine in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We recently dined there and were thoroughly impressed by both the quality of the food and the overall experience. We started with the cotoletta, which was crispy on the outside and perfectly tender on the inside—a classic Milanese dish done right. The ossobuco was equally outstanding, with the meat so tender it practically fell off the bone, rich in flavor and beautifully complemented by the sauce. To round off the meal, we had their risotto, which was creamy, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the rest of our dishes. The ambiance at Osteria del Binari is cozy and relaxed, making it the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely meal. The service was attentive without being intrusive, allowing us to enjoy each course at our own pace. Overall, it’s a must-visit for anyone in Milan looking to experience authentic Italian cooking with top-notch quality. We’ll definitely be back to savor more of their menu!

The restaurant is very nice. Seems very traditional with a different feeling inside/outside. It wasn’t very busy on a Sunday night so there were plenty of seats. There were a lot of waiters and they were all quite attentive and quick to serve. Unfortunately food was average at best. On the table there were some sliced vegetables for pinzimonio with some sauces, one of each was foie gras. Neither the vegetable nor the sauces felt particularly fresh. The agnello arrived quite cold, especially on the meat near the bone. Yes, I should have sent it back, but overall tasted quite good, especially with the polenta. The cotoletta was a bit chewy. The price was high, 132 euros for two secondi, two calici of wine and 3 amari. Wouldn’t personally go back for food, but for the atmosphere.
