Hands-down my favourite restaurant in whole Milan and the one I always keep recommending to everyone searching for a beautiful dinner or lunch experience with great food, fantastic wine and outstanding service! I am an absolute foodie, tried many different restaurants in Italy but THIS is a truly special hidden Gem 🫶🏻 thank me later!!
The staff goes out of their way to make your time there unforgettable adjusts to personal wishes and preferences to the best of their abilities. They are incredibly welcoming, treat you with respect and kindness and are super knowledgeable about everything on their menu and wine list - if they recommend a certain wine, you should trust them, they know what they’re doing! Also, the owner is one of the most welcoming people I’ve got to meet in Milans food scene, aiming to create special, unforgettable moments for his guests and treating his staff like close family… a truly outstanding team!
Besides that, I cannot stop recommending their food and wine enough! Their selection of Italien specialties is great and literally everything on their menu (and I’ve tried a lot!) was outstanding! Definitely try the Cacio e pepe or the risotto alla Milanese but also the pasta with ragu was out of this world good!! The Cotoletta looked fantastic as well, but there was simply no way we could have eaten even more that day, so we need to come back for that! Now talking about deserts, it does not matter what you pick from the menu, it will be just the perfect completion to a great evening - but if you ask me, I am a big fan of their tiramisu!
Lastly, the atmosphere: honestly, the pictures speaks for themselves! This is truly a hidden Gem in the middle of Milan’s food scene and their entire Ambiente makes you feel like you’re the main character of a beautiful, classic movie. Everything is so well-thought through to transmit the essence of elevated Italien lifestyle and the garden with all the beautiful flowers and lights is one of the most beautiful places I’ve got to have dinner!

Read more4 stars for ambient and cuisine for this ristorante. 4 stars for the service in general. What ruins our evening: Zero stars for the sommelière and her knowledge about vini del mondo! But why should all employees be punished just because one single employee has really no idea about her job! A Sommelier is a pleasure advisor in one of the most important questions of quality of life: The perfect combination of drink and food. In addition to the specialist knowledge of the products, a sommelier must also have an excellent general education. We were not given any advice at all with regard to our wine selection. So we chose a local wine for 53 euros that we already knew. The sommelière took the order with the words “an important wine”. Ok.... Whatever this means. She didn't explain the history of this oh-so-"important" wine to us - no single background information at all. Doesn't matter! We know the wine. The bottle came. Was shown to us. Disappeared. Was opened and decanted somewhere. We never saw the cork, which should normally be presented on the designated storage plate. We were never given more wine. So we refilled the glasses on our own. At the end we ordered the recommended Italian sweet wine with the desert and at the same time asked the sommelière about Austrian sweet wines. The lady had no idea and said that for her the best sweet wines in the world come from Italy. At the same time, she confirmed that she had never been to Austria and had never tasted any sweet wines from Austria. Btw: We are not from Austria! An unpleasant discussion broke out over so much ignorance and lack of knowledge. But the so-called sommelière defied all criticism with bravura and snappy demeanor. We've never experienced anything like this before. We award 100 extra points for this unique behavior! PS. The Ossobuco...

The food was great. We went there because a friend recommended the food highly so we decided to give it a try. As soon as we arrived we were treated like we didn't belong there. We had to wait for around 10 min for a table, which wasn't a bad thing, until we were walked to our table and saw that the restaurant was basically half empty. Then the waiters were rude, not giving recommendations, and treating us like we were idiots not able to read the menu, when we were basically asking for some advice. Even when we asked for a wine pairing all we got was additional waiting and the wine menu handed in, but not even a comment on the wines. After finishing our dishes we were asked if we wanted dessert, as we were quite full and still had some bread and veggies on the table, we declined. The waiter preceded then to take everything away, without asking if we were planning to eat up. I was left with a carrot in my hand and without a plate or a dip. In that moment we decided to ask for the check. The waiter told us then to go to the front desk and ask there, a weird thing to do, since all other guests around us had their bills brought to their tables. All in all all things not terrible for a cheap restaurant, but being treated so differently than everyone else while paying the same...
