We were there yesterday at the new Year’s Eve. The place is beautiful, the music was nice, the entrees were very tasty and beautifully presented, the meat was terrible, dry and chewy, too much pretense in the menu, but not much substance to back it up in most dishes. Alcohol (wine and champagne were horrific and of low quality, I suppose because it was included in the menu, but the menu for both of us cost 240 EU and we were given only one small bottle of water, with no refills, and no coffee was offered, that we found out later, was included). Me and my boyfriend felt dehydrated and nauseous almost instantly after drinking champagne. At the door the temperature wasn’t measured (which is obligatory to do in Milan as of now).
Staff was rude and unprofessional. They forgot to give us a bottle of Champaign before midnight and gave only the flutes, and took an eternity to bring us the dessert, which was almost at midnight, servers were busy chatting up the other tables. We were super confused as to what was going on, and managed to get the bottle only after midnight, of course it was frustrating at the New Year’s Eve. And the man who served us the bottle tried to politely blame us on that, saying that we went out to smoke, so our table was empty, while we don’t smoke, and went out only after midnight to celebrate and look for champagne.
The female server was super anxious and neurotic, trying to grab the plate I was eating from twice during the evening, which is incredibly rude. I lost patience the second time while eating the dessert (which was after the champagne incident) and said to her that I was eating that, to which she got offended and said that she wanted to get our table in order, the nerve! And then she never got to our table and not even looked at us, even when the plates were empty, the other server got them later at night.
When earlier we discussed the Champagne incident with her, she tried to justify herself, saying that it wasn’t included initially in the menu (5-7 eu Bollicine in 240 eu menu that for sure wasn’t worth even half of that), the owner decided to include it last second. Like it makes any difference. Disgusting toxic staff.
Probably an ok place to come on a regular day, but to celebrate something so special as the New Year, better steer clear. This place is associated with very bad memories now, so I hope I’ll never have...
Read moreBelle Donne is a true gem in Milan, offering an unforgettable dining experience that combines authentic Italian flavors with a warm, inviting atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, the charm of the restaurant envelops you. The decor strikes the perfect balance between modern elegance and rustic coziness, making it an ideal spot for any occasion.
The star of the menu, in my opinion, was the steak. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and seasoned with just the right touch to let the quality of the meat shine through. Each bite was pure delight and paired beautifully with the thoughtful sides. The menu overall offers a variety of dishes that showcase the restaurant’s commitment to fresh ingredients and classic flavors.
The service was outstanding—attentive and friendly, with the staff making you feel right at home. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent wine pairings to complement the meal. While there was a slight delay in getting our orders, the team’s professionalism and the quality of the food more than made up for it.

Read moreLocal gem in the neighborhood of our hotel, Magna Pars. It was only one block walking. Hidden behind dark glass windows was a dinner of deliciousness.
The prices were so reasonable we ordered a ton of food. Starting with a bottle of Amarone.
We started with tagliatelle, small cold yellow tomatoes, melted stracciatella cheese, topped with tuna tartare slightly seasoned in lemon. Wow. Delightful. The kitchen split our portion.
Then I got a small dinner salad and Ceviche with Tigermilk that was filled with all kinds of fish. Felt light but filling.
He got Veal Chateaubraind that was tender and seasoned perfectly topped with artichokes. He had a side of roasted potatoes that came in a basket.
We both finished our plates. It was sooo good.
We finished it all off with a dessert called Cacao Tartelletta. There was a crunchy cookie layer on top of dark chocolate topped with vanilla ice cream and raspberries.
We waddled around the block trying to walk some of it off. So good.
We loved how comfortable and intimate it felt. The photos aren’t so great because the lighting is awesomely dim and I didn’t want to have flash on.
The servers were very efficient but not so friendly. The food was so good and the environment so cozy we would return if we...
