Pasticceria Rovida — Restaurant in Milan

What a DELICIOUS pasticceria!! We had the best breakfast here with 2 brioche (one filled woth almond custard, one with marmalade) a cappuccino and an americano. The coffees were perfection and the brioche was so tender, buttery and tasteful. The staff is SO lovely, even when I accidentally ordered the wrong pastry they were so lovely about it and brought me the other with great kindness.

Non essendo di Milano mi sono affidata al giudizio di un'amica milanese per poter consumare una buona colazione in città. A pochi passi dalla stazione centrale, questo è sicuramente un punto a favore. Come in tutta Milano il problema è il parcheggio ma essendo arrivata in loco a piedi non ho sentito questo disagio. La pasticceria si presenta bene, è piccola ma molto caratteristica, l'ambiente è carino e molto Instagrammabile, per stare al passo con i tempi. La prima cosa che però mi ha fatto storcere il naso è il servizio, vedendoci ferme all'ingresso nessuno si è interessato a accoglierci e suggerirci di poter consumare anche comodamente sedute. Chiediamo noi e ci accomodiamo. La ragazza viene a prendere l'ordine senza averci portato il menù al che lo chiediamo e torna poco dopo per poi non tornare più se non dopo la nostra sollecitazione. Alle dieci e mezza tutto l'assortimento per la colazione era già finito e seppur capisco che il prodotto è artigianale ed il servizio è offerto dalla mattina presto, una pasticceria etichettata come "istituzione" dovrebbe almeno garantire un buon assortimento non dico per tutta la giornata ma almeno l'intera mattinata. Abbiamo preso due cioccolate e dei pasticcini essendo terminate le brioches di qualsiasi tipo. La qualità dei dolci è senza ombra di dubbio molto buona anche se particolarmente grassa. Ma ci può stare. Peccato per la cioccolata e la possibilità di scegliere tra pochissimi gusti e nessun topping decorativo oltre la panna. Per una cioccolata e tre pasticcini ho pagato €12,50 ma vista la posizione e la fama del posto posso ancora ancora giustificare questo prezzo. Friendly welcome and kind staff. After placing the order, the wait at the table was longer than I expected and I even thought they might have forgotten the order. It wasn’t that busy either.
