Piccola Ischia Pizzeria (Via Morgagni) — Restaurant in Milan

We booked a table at this restaurant to enjoy great food and have a nice time after a long day in the office. Our booking was for 7:30pm and there was no mention of it being for a limited amount of time (concept that we were used to as we lived in the UK for a long time and we would have not had a problem with, although this is not very common in Italy). However, after 45 minutes from sitting at our table, we started getting pushed to leave asap if we didn't want to order anything else after finishing our pizzas and our beers. We had just barely finished our pizzas and we had half of our drinks still left, and we got other 2 waiters coming around saying they had people waiting for a table outside so we had to leave quickly to let them in. At that point I politely flagged they never specified our reservation was just for a limited amount of time and asked if they could at least please let us finish our drinks. The waiter agreed with me that our reservation wasn't limited to a certain time slot, but according to him, I had to understand that they needed to give priority to people in the queue so we were pushed to leave once again. Pizzas were alright but nothing special for Italy, so we're definitely not going back as luckily there are plenty of other places in Milan where you can actually have a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, our experience at this place was extremely disappointing, despite the positive reviews that initially brought us here. We came to Italy hoping to enjoy authentic pizza, but what we received fell far below expectations.

We visited for dinner; the place wasn’t busy, so the service was prompt. However, both pizzas we ordered were severely undercooked. The ingredients, especially the mushrooms (which seemed to be canned), were raw and leaking juices. Additionally, one of the pizzas we received was not what we had ordered.

When we raised our concerns, the owner acted as if he didn’t understand why we were upset and offered no apology. We left feeling deeply disappointed and uncomfortable.

If you're in Milan and craving authentic, delicious pizza, this pizzeria is a must-visit! I ordered a media-sized "tonno cipolla" pizza and a piccolo-sized Naples pizza, and both were absolutely fantastic.
