Nun Taste of Middle East — Restaurant in Milan

I got a felafel, there were maybe at most two small felafel balls in it and they were soggy. It was just eating bread and really poor quality tomato. The sauce was tasteless, as was the insalata israeliana, which maybe they used a teaspoon total in the entire sandwich. I also asked for lettuce, which was wilted and again maybe one leaf in the entire thing. Nothing tasted fresh or healthy. Do not recommend.

The sandwich itself was teeny, especially for the price of 5 euro, and I think they used the fact that I was a take-away order to kind of take advantage. Not a trustworthy business. The pictures in these reviews must be from friends of the owner or paid reviewers. Felafel is hard to find in italy, so maybe people enjoy this because they dont know anything else. I visited this place after seeing it featured in a TV show as one of the best kebab spots in Milan. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The sandwiches lacked any special flavor, and the overall taste was underwhelming. The balance of ingredients was off — the amount of chicken was not proportional to the vegetables, making the sandwich feel poorly assembled.

On top of that, the price was quite high considering the quality of both the food and the service. There was also a lack of consistency and harmony in the sandwiches, which made the experience even more disappointing.

Disappointing considering all the enthusiastic reviews here. Even aesthetically streamlined (to put it euphemistically) places like these can serve up very decent Middle-Eastern food, but I found the halloumi salad seriously uninspired (cubes of apple and cubes of halloumi, bland and weird to sink your teeth into) and the side of "Palestinian" hummus was very run-of-the-mill and neutral indeed — which is not what my taste buds are hoping for with Middle-Eastern cuisine (in general my favorite).
