I DO HARDLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. After paying a four stars hotel for one night with the only purpose of having a shower and take a rest , none of them was posible. The hot water was not working and when we told the staff, they kept us making excuses, we wait for 2 hoursand finally we went to bed at 2 am seeing that the problem was not going to be solved. At least they could have been honest. They told us they would let us know when the problem was fixed at it would going to happen within 15 minutes. We left the note in reception desk but nothing happened. In the morning we told the man on reception and the only answer we got was: ā€œ it is your problem; not hotel’s. I was not that cold. I was not working yesterday and therefore, this not my problem eitherā€ā€¦ literally. That is unbelievable and unacceptable for a hotel like this. See the prices. If I were you, I would go to another place.

Don't be fooled by the unassuming hotel exterior. The inside is a throwback to elegance and charm. This older hotel is very nicely appointed. The room was large, modern and well equipped. The hotel provided bottled drinking water daily. Extra features included a safe, small fridge, and good WiFi. In the lobby they served coffee to order. The lobby also included a small area with seating for serving continental breakfasts, which was great - lots of food and drink choices. The distance to Milano Centrale (Main Station) is about a 15 min walk. There is a Metro stop (Lima) less than 5 minutes from the hotel's front door. There is a clean, well stocked supermarket located half a street block from the hotel entrance. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a great time staying at the TECO.

Located a street behind Buenos Aires (they have a sign facing this main avenue though as well as some of the room windows). Very friendly and helpful staff. Charming rich interior lobby area. Free computer and printer use by the reception desk. Room was small but clean and functional. The TV only seems to have Italian channels. WiFi was always working but a little slow. Bed was good. Shower was excellent. We had an adjoining door to another room and this sadly meant it was too noisy at times. There is a slight rumble from subway trains even on the third floor but it didn't disturb us at all. Breakfast selection is a limited continental buffet (as expected for a hotel of this size) but with attentive service.

I want to give a favorable review of Hotel Teco because all-in-all, there's a lot to like about this property. Unfortunately, our experience was also filled with a fair amount of things we didn't like.||The plus side of choosing Hotel Teco is that it's in a great location. You can walk to the Duomo in about 20-30 minutes, window shopping as you stroll down Corso Venezia. There is also a Metro stop about a block and a half away, with the Metro being rather easy to access. Breakfast is well stocked and the lady overseeing it all is extremely friendly and helpful . . . in oh, so many ways for she seems to wear many hats around the hotel. The hotel is obviously energy efficient, with motion activated lights coming on as you walk down a hallway, but this is both a plus and negative as sometimes the lights are slow to come on and the interior hallways can be quite dark if the lights are pokey.||The downsides to our stay started with our arrival when the overly officious gentleman at the desk didn't offer any form of greeting. We gave him our name and said we knew we were early for check-in, but because of our 1:30 reservations for Il Cenacolo (The Last Supper), we were hoping to drop our luggage at the hotel and then check-in when we returned. After shuffling through many papers and examining a list or two, he acknowledged our reservation and did allow us to stow our bags in the breakfast room, which was not secure in any sense. About this time, a huge rain started outside and we asked the gentleman to call us a cab. He explained that it was very difficult to get a cab during a storm and all he could do was try to call through the computer. When I asked how we could get to Il Cenacolo if he couldn't contact a cab, he had no answer. He didn't seem very concerned about trying to help. The sad part is the hotel doorman across the street was actually more helpful to my husband trying to find a cab than the gentleman manning the desk at our hotel, and thanks to the other hotel, we were able to make our 1:30 reservation. On an up note, we did actually get the gentleman to smile by the end of the day, but it certainly would have been more appreciated with our first step through the door. And we definitely had better interactions with the two ladies managing the front desk during the rest of our stay.||While our room was clean and comfortable overall, it did need a little TLC: the ceiling of the shower needed to be repaired, the information screen on the wall didn't have any of the detailed information it was supposed to be used for, 2 of the 3 wall lights didn't work, the bathroom sink didn't empty well, there were a couple of small holes in my duvet cover, and a lampshade needed its trim re-glued. We would have preferred to have these basics taken care than the mood lighting option in the shower that is highlighted as one of the technological updates.||Did Hotel Teco serve its purpose? Yes. We just wish it served it a little more...

Loved this hotel that was charming and clearly well-loved. I arrived a sweaty mess after walking from the Centrale train station (don't recommend that!) and the lovely young man who checked me in took pity and got me into the room a little early. Despite being more boutique, there is a well-functioning elevator so no worries if you have a room on the third floor and a big roller bag, as I did. I was given room 301, which is one of the solo accomodations and a very rare find in Milan.||The room is beautifully decorated with lovely touches and attention to detail, like the varnished woodwork and marble bathrooms. A lot of thought went into making this an elegant and polished hotel that is also well-maintained and cared for. My room was clean and well appointed, including a mini fridge and kettle, and space to settle into. The bathroom was larger than I might have hoped and included a bidet as well as toilet, plus a full shower. The water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water should you need it, as well as counter space around the sink.||Breakfast was also an elevated experience, with a wide array of food types to choose from. There were very elaborate and delicious pasteries, meats and cheeses, plenty of fruit and even hot beverages made to order. The attendants were friendly and efficient and the breakfast room well appointed and stocked.||The area in which the hotel resides is very convenient to the subway system, being near the Lima a Porta Venezia stops. I walked to the Duomo, which took about 35 minutes or so and was a pleasant way to get to know the city. There are a variety of restaurants nearby as well as a little grocery store very close to the hotel too.||All said, my only gripe is that I was only here for one night and I certainly hope to be back again in the...

Our experience at Hotel Teco was generally positive, though there were a few minor issues that could have been handled better.||||The location is excellent, close to Milano Centrale and Porta Venezia, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. The hotel was clean, and the rooms, bathrooms, and linens were all well-maintained. We also had a good night’s sleep, which is always important.||||However, there were a few drawbacks. The baggage storage was not locked, which felt a little insecure. Additionally, when we needed to use the toilets before check-in, we were told they were out of order, with no alternative available—not ideal for a hotel at this price point (€500 for two nights).||||There was also an electrical issue in one of our rooms, requiring us to move. That said, the staff were very helpful throughout, which made the situation easier to deal with.||||Breakfast was basic—nothing special, but it was clean and edible. The small breakfast area off the reception felt a bit cramped, but it served its purpose.||||Overall, for the price, the stay was adequate—not exceptional, but not disappointing either. If I returned to Milan, I’d probably spend a bit more to find a slightly better hotel, but I don’t regret booking Hotel Teco. It’s a solid option for location and cleanliness, but don’t expect luxury.||||Good for a short stay, but could...
