We had the pleasure of dining at Pizza AM in Milan, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The menu, although not in English, showcased a wide array of delectable pizzas. After much contemplation, we decided to try the Caprese and Speciale Taka. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The pizzas were crafted with utmost care and precision, resulting in a culinary masterpiece that was truly unforgettable. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside, yet wonderfully chewy on the inside, creating a delightful contrast of textures. The toppings were fresh and bursting with flavor, making every bite a heavenly experience.

For dessert, we decided to indulge in the classic Italian delicacy, tiramisu. The tiramisu was a heavenly finale to our meal, with its velvety smooth texture, rich espresso flavor, and delicate dusting of cocoa.

While it was a bit challenging to understand the ingredients and toppings due to the language barrier, the staff was friendly and accommodating, doing their best to assist us. Their warm smiles and willingness to help made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Pizza AM truly surpassed our expectations and left us craving for more. It's safe to say that these were some of the best pizzas we've ever had the pleasure of tasting. I highly recommend Pizza AM to anyone seeking an exceptional pizza dining experience in Milan, and don't forget to treat yourself to a delightful tiramisu for the perfect ending...

Okay, where to start with this "wannabe tourist trap"?

Service was terrible. We ordered our pizzas and received them in record time—which was the only good part. But just 10 minutes into eating, we were interrupted three times by three different waitresses within the span of a single minute, asking if we had finished. What the... Our plates were barely half-eaten, and our youngest (11 years old) had only finished one slice of his pizza.

Message received loud and clear. We paid 70 euros for 14 minutes of a rushed dinner and left.

There is nothing Italian about being forced to eat a meal at lightning speed. We weren’t even allowed to chew properly. Our brains didn’t have time to register that our stomachs had eaten anything. This place is a disgrace to Italian cuisine. They didn’t even offer to pack the leftover pizza for the kids.

Atmosphere isn’t just about decoration. If you have a cramped floor plan, don’t ask guests to get up and pay at the booth. Or if you do call them to the booth, at least make sure there’s space to move. Apologies to the lady behind me—I bumped her chair while trying to take a bite.

Pizza selection is weak. There’s barely any meat choice—just spicy salami (US-style pepperoni). The dough? That’s a whole other topic, but I’ll leave that to their so-called pizza chef.

You know what the best pizza option is at this so-called pizzeria? The Smash Burger...

There’s a reason this place is so highly rated. Everything was excellent! They do not accept reservations so come early if you have a big party or don’t want to wait in a long line. When you are seated you are given prosecco and an appetizer that is included in the coperto. The menu only has 8 types of pizzas. The menu is in Italian and doesn’t translate well so I suggest going to their Instagram and scrolling at the top where you can find all their pizzas.

The service and energy of the place is great. The server even joked when someone in our party wanted coffee WITH her pizza (he was aghast) and he only brought it at the end lol. The prices are fair, the pizza pictured cost €10 and a Coke was €3. Coperto is €2. The pizzas are quite large so come hungry or prepared to take some home. At the end you are given a shot of limoncello. Unlike other Italian restaurants, because they do not accept reservations, they may ask you to give up your table once you are done eating. However, we never felt rushed, and, after seeing the line had no issue leaving our table. 10/10 will...

Honestly a little bit underwhelming experience, I was expecting to be blown away based on the ratings and reviews, but unfortunately I wasn't. It could have been the wrong choice of Pizza, however I did not have enough time to try it again during this trip, maybe next time. I choose the Nduja Pizza which wasn't on the main menu, it was a special Pizza you see on the digital menu. It wasn't what I expected, every Nduja Pizza I ever had was with a red base, this one wasn't and it also had (I'd want to say smoked cheese maybe?) I didn't enjoy the taste at all. Of course there could be multiple versions of this Pizza. The ingredients were not shown when I selected the Pizza and the waitress didn't mention anything except that this is a special Pizza that's why I couldn't see it on the menu. All in all, it wasn't a great experience for me personally, maybe next time my review will change, but I can't recommend this Pizza type at least. The free prosecco and free small appetizer is a nice gesture and is appreciated.
