We came here due to the google review and had the worst dining experience during our whole stay in Milan. The one star goes to the average food and the service is a 0 out of 10: An older man has been doing basically nothing but giving us very unfriendly orders to immediately step out and wait outside and sitting down immediately (he was very impatient about the “immediately” part) we assumed it was just the language barrier or cultural difference, but the experience later confirmed he’s just unfriendly and unsuitable for his job. The other three waiters/waitress we experienced (yes, a different one every time) seemed very unorganized. For example they would gave us all plates and 5 mins later, before our appetizer arrived, took them all away. When water was served, we needed to ask many times for glasses and wait for a long time for the glasses to appear. But that’s not the worst part. As we found a metal part of a steel pot cleaner in our food and gave them the feedback, the older guy took it away, came back and yelled something at us with his very expressive hand gestures and then left. Another waiter who stood there didn’t exactly translate his aggressive behavior or yelling, but only confronted us why we would bring this up when the dish is almost done and then left. We’re all very frequent world travelers and have never experienced such disrespectful behavior or reaction to a health and safety concern which is, at no excuse, the restaurants fault. We also haven’t really experienced this kind of kitchen accident at a decent restaurant and not even getting an apology is really a uncivilized and irresponsible response.
—- To your response: we talked to you immediately as we found it in our food instead of “waiting till the end of the evening”, as we didn’t have an influence of the time point when we find it. In fact, we didn’t expect to find it at all. The fact that you have the audacity to make that assumption and accusation says enough about “how important your work is to you”. Also, despite the language barrier which doesn’t seem to exist after seeing your clear response in English, we haven’t heard one sorry so far, not even in...
Read moreI’ve dined at Quartieri Spagnoli several times over the past few years, mainly because I’m a fan of their Neapolitan cuisine. The food is consistently excellent—delicious pizzas, fresh fish, flavorful pasta dishes, and tasty desserts. The restaurant’s décor adds to the experience, with a distinctly Neapolitan atmosphere. Playful signs with sayings from Naples hang from the ceiling, and the menu, featuring famous Neapolitan actors, enhances the sense of authenticity.
The service, however, has always been sub-par. Even when the restaurant is nearly empty during weekday lunches, they won't let you choose where you’d like to sit unless you insist, which creates an uncomfortable start to the meal. While I understand that restaurants often seat guests based on server assignments, in an otherwise empty dining room it feels unnecessary. Allowing guests a bit more flexibility would make the overall experience much...
