Radio Rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Milan

Firstly, when you enter the building you are greeted by a rude woman who barely speaks to you after looking you up and down, snarling and rolling her eyes. She then calls upstairs to check if there is any seats and when there is she barely lets you know she just points at the elevator. Then when you get upstairs, you are greeted by another woman who again looks you up and down, says a sarcastic hello and takes you to a table. We weren't told that you had to get the drinks menu online, so after about 10 minutes of waiting to ask for a menu we were told it was online all the time and had to wait even longer to order. Once we ordered our drinks, the waiter disappeared off and for about 20 minutes didn't come back. We thought we'd been forgotten about. He then comes back and tells us that the drink we ordered 20 minutes ago had actually ran out and can we order something else. Absolutely fine, if you'd not made us wait over half an hour for this drink in the first place?! Yes the restaurant/bar was busy, but not over run and they seemed to have plenty of staff. Don't get me wrong, I understand the pressures of a busy bar but the attitude and service of every single member of staff was appalling. Lovely bar venue but the staff...

Bad: after calling and asking about the cake service and being told it is 4 € per person when we went we were told it is 6 € per person which was not ok!

We were served cake in smelly plates and the staff dismissed the fact that the smell of the disinfectant was not acceptable considering 5 dishes smelled bad and 2 others didn't smell at all.

We asked to serve the whole cake and when we asked to replace one of the plates due to the bad smell we realized that they didn't serve us all the cake and they took the rest which was almost half of the cake!

Eventually we were asked to leave if we don't order anything else because there were people on the waiting list, but even that wasn't true as there was no one waiting.

The space itself is beautiful with a nice bar. Rude and cold receptionist. The woman working behind the coffee bar seems extremely agitated and generally unhappy and frustrated with life. Short black hair and red lipstick. She shouldn’t be working in the hospitality industry at all. She snapped at me when no one came to my table for 15 minutes and all I was looking for was silverware to eat my food and a cup of coffee. Most of the other servers were nice but seemed serious and sullen I’m sure the mean spirited and bad attitude of this woman brings them all down. This restaurant could be turned around but I think they need a complete overhaul in hiring staff and several lessons on service and making guests feel warm and welcome. They should take lessons from the Melia hotel staff that seem to be the complete opposite of this restaurants host and woman...
