Ristorante di Pesce e Carne a Milano La Foglia — Restaurant in Milan

After repeat visits, I had to go back and edit my review. I am limited to only 5 stars unfortunately as they deserve much more. If there's a negative review below, they must certainly be mixing it up with the place next door. This is an absolutely authentic neighborhood restaurant with great food, excellent house and bottled wines (an entire wall full of wines), really great professional service and a charming and welcoming ambience, both indoor and outdoor. It appears to be a wife and husband team, so you're likely to see them both alternating at the table and in the kitchen, which I love. The menu is one to explore. You can't go wrong with any selection, and the deserts are worth stopping in just on their own. It's English friendly and any language, I'm sure. Pure artistry being practiced here. Best...

Purtroppo è stata un'immensa delusione siamo entrati fuori c'era un vento freddissimo il ristorante era vuoto non c'era nessuno e invece di farci scegliere dove poterci sedere ci ha dato un mini ma dico mini tavolino per due che neanche i piatti ci stavano con i bicchieri è arrivata la proprietaria senza neanche un sorriso molto indisponente e io mi chiedo se uno apro un'attività vuol dire che vuoi stare a contatto con le persone ci vuole accoglienza volevo una costata ma mi viene risposto no non c'è e invece di solito almeno si risponde Mi dispiace signora l'abbiamo finita le posso proporre invece niente mi sono presa la tagliata ho chiesto cottura media e mi è arrivata completamente al sangue e il mio compagno ha preso l'Orecchio di elefante e purtroppo molto asciutta e anche quella niente di che, volevamo un vino bianco frizzante e la signora in malo modo ci risponde che Divino frizzante non ne hanno l'unico è il prosecco stavamo valutando il prezzo anche e la signora ci dice con aria sprezzante se volete vi posso dare anche due calici beh io dico onestamente che se una bottiglia mi costa €30 e due calici dove mi ha messo dentro due dita ma due dita di vino per €14 mi sembra un'esagerazione beh Noi siamo dei buongustai ci piace girare ci piace andare a mangiare fuori gustare le pietanze Devo dire che questa volta in 20 minuti non vedevamo l'ora di uscire da quel ristorante Mi dispiace ma quando uno va a mangiare fuori si aspetta gentilezza cordialità accoglienza invece di sentirsi quasi in difetto dentro in un ristorante secondo me è la cosa più sbagliata che ci sia Mi dispiace ma purtroppo questa è la nuda e cruda verità eravamo andati anni fa in quel ristorante e c'era una signora molto gentile e accomodante non so se ha cambiato gestione o no però...

A little on the pricey side. The food was very good but I was less than impressed with the older lady who runs the place. My husband wasn't thinking and poured water into the wine glasses. Not a big deal. But she made the mistake of letting me see her reaction. She was very rude about it and I made sure that the waitress knew that I had seen her. My husband went up to pay and she sat there and stared at me as if I was going to steal something. Not a good feeling when you are spending a good amount of money at an establishment....
