Star Rise — Restaurant in Milan

Went for the really high review and being close to it... but I was extremely disappointed, and I rarely write reviews but felt like I need to for this one

1. There were 2 dogs in the restaurant, one of the someone from the kitchen roaming around the restaurant casually, and another from someone from the guests that was whining every 2 minutes...
2. They brought red wine which was... warm... I don't think I ever drank warm red wine before...
3. They brought sparkling water in a plastic bottle.. without the glass, and I had to ask for it..
4. The food was actually really delicious with the swordfish there's no denying that

I don't know if it's some specific Italian things I'm not aware of, like maybe the restaurant is dog friendly and maybe warm wine is a thing (the water cup is an easy mistake to make, sure), but I couldn't wait to get out of there as soon as I quickly ate and drank everything.....

If you want very good food with good quality, generous portions, and very fair prices in Milan, this is the place. I recommend all the fish specialties and the mixed antipasti – actually, everything is good. The tiramisu is to die for. I could eat four, but you get so full from the food before that one to share between two is enough. It's not the fanciest place, but for me, eating well in a quiet place with family-like service is my priority. I go there every time I visit Milan. Last time, at the end of May, we went once – it was wonderful. We booked for the entire group a second time, but unfortunately, we couldn't get there due to the transportation strike. Sorry, Vito, but we will come back for...

In my impressio there is a heavyweight on fishmeals. we didn't order fish at all slas it wasn't planned and ot of our taste.

The service was really poor. We don't italian, but very good english and at least some italien pieces But no chance, one meal arrived wringly, one not at all (fries) and ordering in general was difficult or long lasting. food was ok, but all in all wouldnt recommend. bill was just a handwritten paper, it was for sure not what we had but as communicating was ery difficult we paid more than it was. Not much, but I guess it was a rip off i the end. all fine, nothing too bad, but...
