We came here after seeing Marc Wiens episode in Milano.
Food: we had Risotto Milanese con Ossobuco. The dish was cooked to perfection, the rice was aldente and creamy and oozing of saffron. The Ossobuco was braized amazingly and the bone marrow was easily groped out. The wine that was recommended after our wishes was very suitable. The complementary Focaccia and Salami di Napoli before the food was out of this world. The Focaccia was oily as it's supposed to be, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The Salami di Napoli was freshly hand cut in thicker slices and you really could taste the high quality of the product. This Salami is now officially my favorite Salami, sorry Salami di Milano 🥹
Service: our waiter who originally is from Rome was very friendly and made our dinner enjoyable. He was very patient despite the fact that we were English speaking and they didnt seem to have too many English speaking guests. At the of our dinner, we asked for Amaretto to help digest the food and he brought something else that they make at the restaurant. It was not as sweet as Amaretto and I wish I would be able to buy this in stores. Unfortunately, this is available only at Bel Belé.
Overall: I recommend this place highly and will go back next time...

Bel Belé was a recommendation, is a 20 minutes trip from the duomo by metro. Not touristy area, and not much to see around. But the trip is worth it.
During lunch they have a smaller menu compared from the dinner. For lunch there is no antipasti.
We started with the pasta, I had a pesto pasta and my wife had a stuffed pasta with butter sauce.
Her pasta was wonderful, light and amazing.
My pesto pasta was ok, I think was missing a little bit of salt, but adding some grated parmigiana regianno hit the spot.
For mains, I had the Milanese classic cotoletta. That was thin, well seasoned and with a great crust.
I've ordered with potatoes on the side, and those potatoes were a surprise. I saw the locals were ordering with tomatoes and rocket. Next time I will try.
My wife had their salad, as we shared the plates. The salad had an amazing buffalo Mozzarella.
The dessert, the tiramisu was VERY good, great texture, and nice coffee flavour.
I recommend the place if you have the time! We were the only tourists at the restaurant, but the waitress could speaks...
Read moreI not often will say this. But this place, even low cost.. is for sure on the far top off all restaurants I visit in Italy. The pork belly is 150% sure the best I ever had. And it will be a challenge to get this prepared in the restaurant of my son. But I will try. 15 euro for a very nice Pinot Grigio ir something they like to sell for it. Keep in mind ...you are in Italy 😉 you will notice when paying.. it's just in the culture. But again 150 % a place you need to go for..ps.. the "magic " home made Tiramisu.. I would just skip. .it's not that special. To the restaurant ..I would suggest.. someting more original.. I would suggest just take a grappa. Sad.. they just push for all cash.. not just one time. But constantly. I spend more than 70 euro.. just by myself..I not even get a free drink...typical.. chef.. the food just great. But the service makes..you never...
