I was there twice. First: yesterday. I fell in love with the restaurant itself, with the food and great view of the kitchen. The seafood and wine were great (I mean, REALLY great) and I knew I had to come back the following day. And so I did - I came back today. And the food was outstanding again, and everything could have been perfect. But then, when we (together with my friend) were sipping wine and having a chat after a perfect dinner, the waiter came and asked us if we had finished, because they needed a table, as there were a lot of guests coming. He literally suggested that we should pay and leave. The other waitress suggested the same. Unbelievable! I thought I would come back to this restaurant every time I am in Milan, but after this situation I would rather eat burnt pizza every day than go there are be kicked out again.

Dear owners, giving a 7 euros of discount will not compensate the embarrassment we felt today. Even the best food is not enough to make a good restaurant. I and don't believe that the situation was a misunderstanding. It was not, we...

Ristorante frequentato da anni in Via Civerchio e poi anche in Via Guglielmo Pepe sin dall’apertura. Conscio dei prezzi sopra la media passo una serata piacevole con personale come al solito ineccepibile, gentile, attento, mai troppo invasivo. Al conto, una signora piuttosto minuta, di una certa etĆ  e con i capelli neri fa il conto e noto l’addebito di 2 distillati oltre a 2 amari a fronte di 1 sola grappa ordinata. Faccio presente l’errore e con tono inquisitorio la signora inizia a interrogare tutti i camerieri presenti, alla caccia del colpevole. Visto che la questione stava durando un po’, suggerisco alla signora che può ā€œlavare i panni sporchi in casa suaā€ e ā€œliberareā€ me ed il mio amico. Tutta seccata mi dice di darmi una calmata.... a mio parere non ĆØ stata l’uscita più azzeccata del mondo. Lo ammetto, la cosa mi indispettisce ed a quel punto inizio a controllare tutto il conto: noto che due aragoste che sono prezzate sul listino da 15 a 25 euro a seconda della ā€œdimensione sono riportate sul conto a 35 euro l’una. La signora molto risentita cerca di zittirmi dicendomi che il cameriere me lo deve avere sicuramente detto al momento dell’ordine. Senza entrare nel merito di questo dibattito che prolungherebbe ulteriormente il racconto ma che vi potete immaginare, ringrazio tutto il personale, la signora, facendo presente che frequento i due locali da anni (la signora smentisce che ci sia un collegamento tra i due ristoranti di via coverchio e via Pepe anche se faccio presente che il personale l’ho trovato in altri momenti in entrambi i locali) e anzichĆ© insistere per la restituzione dei 20 euro lascio altri 20 euro di mancia ai camerieri. Mi dispiacerebbe solo che la signora della cassa, probabilmente la proprietaria, se la rifacesse con il personale veramente cortesissimo e dispiaciuto per la situazione. Peccato per una serata che voleva essere serena e piacevole. Pazienza per il ristorante che perde un cliente abituale per una discussione di 20 euro su 147 totali (gonfiati dagli amari e dal distillato aggiuntivo mai ordinati e ne’ bevuti). Per dovere di cronaca amari e distillato mi sono stati rimborsati le maggiorazioni sulle aragoste no. Consiglio al ristorante, per gli altri clienti che vorranno continuare a frequentare questo locale: siate più trasparenti e ponetevi qualche dubbio in più su ciò che vi dice un cliente che da anni ĆØ abituato a spendere da voi almeno 50 euro a persona ed ĆØ sempre in compagnia. Però: liberi di perdere clienti come vi pare. Per quanto mi riguarda ho giĆ  deciso. Per fortuna a Milano c’e possibilitĆ ...

Went there randomly on a Sunday night as we didn’t know where else to go. The place is quite nice, the waiters are relatively friendly, and the portions are very big.

We paid 115€ for 3 people with two shared appetizers, two octopi, one mixed grill, one potato and one grilled vegetables with a bottle of water and a small beer.

The prawns in the mixed grill were undercooked as they sticked to the ā€œshellā€.

The potatoes were lukewarm at best and felt like they were under a heating lamp since lunch.

The waiters suggested more bread, but actually never brought it and seemed to be more focused on other tables than ours.

Had to have a way too long back and forth to know what beers were available when the waiter already knew there was only one option…

Overall, the food was good, but nothing...

Oysters are out of the world! (€4 each). The pasta plates are quite good and same for the octupus plate, cooked in a perfect way. All the ingredients were of high quality and fresh. The only thing common in all the plates is that they don’t have a special taste, like you are eating a mix of high-quality ingredients that unfortunately don’t blend together in harmony. Although the ingredients are the common ones of this plate in any other restaurant in Italy, nothing weird, but I don’t know what is missing, I think the chef is not talented. Same for the tiramisu. The people are very friendly and welcoming and they really care for you and you feel that the place all in all is a high quality experience, adding a taste to the cooked food would take this restaurant to another place!

Oysters are out of the world! (€4 each). The pasta plates are quite good and same for the octupus plate, cooked in a perfect way. All the ingredients were of high quality and fresh. The only thing common in all the plates is that they don’t have a special taste, like you are eating a mix of high-quality ingredients that unfortunately don’t blend together in harmony. Although the ingredients are the common ones of this plate in any other restaurant in Italy, nothing weird, but I don’t know what is missing, I think the chef is not talented. Same for the tiramisu. The people are very friendly and welcoming and they really care for you and you feel that the place all in all is a high quality experience, adding a taste to the cooked food would take this restaurant to another place!
