Veramente — Restaurant in Milan

We were very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. We had been looking forward to coming here for a long time, but the experience fell far short of our expectations.

First, we were served the wrong dish, which is understandable. But then, we ordered a dessert that was supposed to include both pineapple and strawberries, but only pineapple was served. The waiter didn’t explain anything when presenting the dessert and simply started walking away. When we asked about the missing strawberries, he casually replied that they had run out. Why we can’t be informed about missing key ingredient before ordering not after?

To make matters worse, our bill included an extra bottle of wine priced at €95, which we didn’t order. Additionally, our items left in the wardrobe were mishandled, resulting in damage to a hat worth over €800. We had to send it to the Loro Piana service for repairs. When we brought this up, the hostess coldly told us that we should take valuable items to the table instead of leaving them in the wardrobe. Her eye-rolling and dismissive attitude completely ruined the atmosphere of the evening.

From the moment we walked in, Veramente felt like Italy in a nutshell but ELEVATED. The ambience is simply beautiful: refined and polished to perfection, with thoughtful design touches and branding executed down to the smallest detail.👌🏻

We started with the zucchini flowers, which were absolutely amazing and flavorful! Then came the steak and verdure. It was visually appetizing and well presented, though we found the meat a bit tough to chew in some parts, especially compared to the usual bistecca. We paired all these with a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino and it was chef’s kiss 🍷

To end, we shared the gelato, and it was pure joy. Very comforting, satisfying, and the perfect note to close on 🍨 (important to mention that they serve it from a cart with a huge mountain of gelato and an offering of various toppings 🙌🏼)

A special shoutout to Mary, our server, who made the experience even better! She was warm, spoke flawless English and a star🌟! Her service was truly exceptional.

I had the pleasure of dining at “Veramente.” The restaurant's elegant atmosphere, enhanced by pleasant background music, created the perfect setting for the evening with my foreign clients. The choice of this restaurant was made to let them taste the true dishes of Italian tradition, and “Veramente” exceeded every expectation!

We started with a delicious parmigiana, followed by a crispy pizza with zucchini flowers that I can describe as nothing short of poetic. The highlight of the evening was the linguine with clams, cooked to perfection. To conclude, we enjoyed their gelato, beautifully presented, and a classic tiramisu that ended the meal sublimely.

The service was excellent. The staff, very courteous, presented each dish with great professionalism and provided us with valuable advice on the selection of dishes. Additionally, they suggested an excellent wine that paired perfectly with our courses.
